So, confirmation (as I suspected): Josh Griffith was behind the return of the Newman Ranch, and not Edward J. Scott.

Yes, though Hoffman said the idea has been toyed around for years and they finally did it. Makes me wonder if this would have happed earlier if not for the pandemic and various union strikes (less applicable to soaps but still applicable).

That said, Scott’s return to managing production coincided with the introduction of the new set even though he didn’t order it or was involved with the planning. Hoffman has been the production designer for decades as well (hired by Scott originally actually). I shutter to wonder what the unveiling of this set would have looked like under the lighting and production design the show had earlier this year - probably as garish as everything else looked.

It would have been as muted as the other sets were. Equally beautiful... but wouldn't have had the same feeling as it does now.

The Society set did not change as much as the GCAC did:

Thank you so much for having these lol I think I notice things but Idk if it's just a placebo effect or not.

The shadows are enhanced and not as light, which helps.

Tomorrow's episode, a mysterious person stole Sharon's phone and was texting Phyllis that she was ready to confess. Phyllis was speeding down the highway while the texter was spamming Phyllis.

Sharon  was also driving cursing Phyllis and declaring that she won’t let her ruin things this time. Lights from the car behind Shaeon got in her eyes.

Phyllis was getting spammed by the texts when the lights of a car suddenly head towards her and she veers off the road, crashing.
