Because to put an FC logo on a pair of sunglasses is innovative and he never could have reached such thought potential without Hope.   This is so bad.  Lolllll.  I’m so tired of hearing about how Hope for the Future could be done, guys.    This has been years.  Kill it already.  
 

and ask Shrew Steffy  where all of her innovative designs are???  Oh I forgot - she only complains about the work of others.  Have these people talk to each other more realistically.  I saw 15 minutes of amazement at Carter’s idea.  And laughed lolllll

Wow. The energy already shifted. The week was already off to a good start actually. Carter and Hope continuing their circle. Deacon and Brooke having a cute little scene. A Sheila sighting.

 

And then...Carter brings in IVY. I liked all of those scenes actually. I remember Ivy training under Quinn. And it's a plausible reason to bring her back. And we already had her appear earlier so someone for Liam to play with. And finally...Electra...young enough to be in a story with Will...hehe. Romeo/Juliet anyone? I also liked that Electra idolizes Steffy...potential for organic friction between Steffy and Ivy over something family related.

This show is soo boring. Brad needs to step up the trash... pull out 2001-2002 out of the hat... and get Brooke with Finn. I want lives ruined and people crying in the corners.  I want the whore of Beverly Hills for Christmas!

Hold up!!! We might get another crossover with Y&R? Who showing up from Jabot? lol.

 

That said...I see what you mean @edgeofnik. While I do like the new energy that came this week with the story turn, yeeeeah Carter is coming across a little bit unhinged for someone who hasn't even slept with Hope yet. And outside of a two-sentence stumble on this episode, I love the passion of how Carter explained how Forrester should be expanding. The cherry on top being that Ivy had just mentioned it to Eric last episode. So the seed had already been planted in Eric's ear. Brooke is going to be on Hope's side and Zende was swayed. And we know Ridge will go where the wind blows to Brooke's side. Steffy is too shrewd a businesswoman to not pivot with everyone else because it WILL come across as her making a personal decision over a professional decision. 

 

I was hoping to see Amy back in the mix with Will. But too late, he is already gaga for Electra. Le sigh. That said...I do like that Ivy's return is going gradually with her and Electra paying that aforementioned visit to Eric's. I was almost hoping we would get an update on Quinn's whereabouts, but alas.

 

And one thing I do love when Carter is center in a story is that shirt coming off. And got some bubble butt to show, too. But I hollered at Brooke walking in on him with Hope on the desk. Just smh.

Brooke has a sensor for sexual activity. Anywhere it happens she starts sniffing and soon is up there in people's business. And if you are not careful... and not kick her out immediately... you'll be the one opening the door and finding her with your man very soon. She'll sniff too much and not be able to look back. Hope forgot that in this house...every man has to go through Brooke first. That's Bradley Bell's rule number 1.

Forresters is like some kind of sauna at this point. These offices are used only for one thing only and that is not designing. Someone needs to disinfect these surfaces...

Hope - Yes! Carter! You are a GOD! 

Brooke (opening a door after hearing moaning) - What is going on here?

Hope (shocked) - I thought we locked the door! Mom! What are you doing here? 

Brooke - I heard screaming and thought Taylor might be seducing Ridge with her Broken Heart Syndrome again. What is going on here?

Hope (annoyed) - Isn't it obvious? We are having intercourse. Can you please leave?

Brooke - But honey... you are only in your mid 30s. We should talk about things like this before they happen.

Hope - Mom, please leave!  I'm a grown woman.

Carter (to Hope) - Should we just stop?

Hope (to Carter) - No, she should just leave. I'm doing something for my line and the company right now.

Brooke (closing the door, entering the room) - Did you think this through, honey? Maybe this can backfire if Ridge found out? 

Carter - Brooke, can you just... come in 30 minutes?

Brooke (with a slutty smirk)  - That long? 

Hope - Ew! Mom! 

Brooke - (with a slutty giggle) - I've heard so much about you, Carter. 

Hope - Mother!

Brooke (going closer and closer to them) - Hope, please honey, at least tell me you are using protection.

Carter (to Hope) - Is this for real? 

Brooke - You don't want an unwanted child in this day and age, honey. Look what happened to me when I got pregnant by Deacon.

Hope (disgusted) - That was how I was conceived.

Brooke - Oh, honey, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like this... I forgot. Just tell me you are using protection!

Hope  - We are. Now LEAVE.

Brooke (standing inappropriately close) - Can I see?

Hope - Mom, ew, you are sick. Leave us alone! NOW! 

Brooke - I knew it... you are not using protection.

Hope (angry) - Like mother! Like daughter!

      Coming into June...   It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see.   I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's.    I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.

      To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.

      Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
