Webmaster Errol Posted September 5, 2024 Webmaster Share Posted September 5, 2024 As previously reported, CBS’ “The Talk” will kick off its 15th and final season on Monday, September 9, with Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood returning as co-hosts, along with Rob Crabbe serving as executive producer/showrunner for the second consecutive season. Dubbed the farewell season, Season 15 begins with a brand new musical open and theme song featuring the co-hosts, directed by David Wain (“Wet Hot American Summer,” “Role Models,” “Mr. Throwback”) to the tune of a re-imagined rendition of Bill Wither‘s 1977 chart-topping hit “Lovely Day.” Premiere week will also feature the debut of special daily giveaways, titled “5 Days of Getaways!” where the audience will be surprised with luxurious resort stays totaling upwards of one million dollars. Also, every Wednesday the hosts will answer questions and offer advice from their unique perspectives while inviting viewers at home to “Ask the Talk!” On Fridays, the show continues with its signature segment “TikTalk,” where the hosts react to the most viral videos of the week. Additionally, “Stand Up at The Talk” returns each week, with performances from guest comedians including Caroline Rhea, Alonzo Bodden, Brian Kiley, Sophie Buddle and John Heffron, among others. Additionally, celebratory guests scheduled to join the hosts during premiere week include Terry Crews, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Lacey Chabert, Dave Bautista, Dana Delany and Adam Pally, among others. The final season of “The Talk” will conclude in December. Airing weekdays at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT/CT on CBS, and available to stream on Paramount+, “The Talk” offers a panel of well-known entertainment personalities as they discuss current events, pop culture, family, and trending topics of the day, while also featuring celebrity guest interviews, musical performances, cooking segments and human interest stories. In 2016 and 2018, it won for Outstanding Talk Show Entertainment, while taking home writing in 2015 and hosting in 2017. The show has also won the 2016 People’s Choice Award for Daytime TV Hosting Team and the 2016 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Talk Series.
