Webmaster Errol Posted September 4, 2024 Webmaster Share Posted September 4, 2024 Netflix on Wednesday released the official first trailer for “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” starring “General Hospital” alum Nicholas Alexander Chavez (ex-Spencer Cassadine) as Lyle and Cooper Koch as Erik. Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny play their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. Premiering Thursday, September 19 at 3:00 a.m. ET/midnight PT on the streaming platform, the second installment in the “Monsters” anthology series details the Menendez brothers in the events leading up to and following their decision to fatally shoot and kill their parents in the family’s Beverly Hills mansion on August 20, 1989. While the brothers were later convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, during their trial, they cited years of abuse at the hands of their father as the reason behind the murders, a matter that receives ample coverage in the newly released trailer. Check out the official trailer below. In addition to Chavez, Koch, Bardem and Sevigny, Nathan Lane appears as investigative journalist Dominick Dunne, who covered the trials for Vanity Fair, while Ari Graynor takes on the role of Leslie Abramson, lead counsel for Erik Menendez. “Days of our Lives” alum Tanner Stine (ex-Joey Johnson) appears in the series as Perry Berman.
