Also, Jennifer Landon is Michael Landon's daughter and he left all his kids a significant trust fund when he died, she's not desperate for job security to survive like most struggling actors between jobs. Let's stop that narrative, lol.

Yellowstone is probably getting a sixth season. And not much has changed about actors wanting to get out of soap operas. You know that.

They may be spinning off the Beth character and one other but none of the actors have signed on yet.

Also I have actor friends on successful streaming shows that run 8 episodes a year and they still have issues keeping their SAG AFTRA insurance.

Really you have her financials

John, we are just saying it doesn't necessarily make career sense for an actress (and yes, BetterForgotten is right about the Landons) who has built a very respectable career in recent years moving beyond daytime. It doesn't make us 'bad soap fans' for acknowledging the obvious.

This is a good interview and she talks  about her career

And lest we forget...the daughter of a soap legend with (hopefully) something written for her to sink her teeth into. I'm sure she would be done for that. Simply that actress wondering if she could.

I'm not going to watch anything when its well document Michael Landon left his children a respectable trust fund. She's not struggling like the average joe trying to make it in Hollywood.

That was 1991. A lot of stuff Happens in 33 years. Jen talks about her struggles finding work in this interview.

John, I want Jen Landon on the show. That doesn't mean I think it makes sense for her career to do it. Maybe she wants to settle down with whatever family she has and have some security, fine. But you constantly go off on these crusading tangents about something the show does to defend it or push a performer you like that others don't, or some idea you get excited about on Twitter, you make up ideas like 'maybe she's out of money' and you don't actually listen to anyone. We don't have to agree with you to be fans of the show. Take a breath.

Fine I just think its naieve to think because someone currently airs on a streaming show or was given money from an inheritence that they are financially set and have no struggles like any other actor.

No, naive was believing the show when they said William Lipton and Sydney Mikayla were staying after booking other opportunities/committing to school because GH said so and you wanted the actors to stay. Whenever people pointed out career realities and past precedent you got very mad that anyone would suggest it wasn't going to last.

Nobody is saying Landon doesn't want to work or even necessarily that she doesn't need to. But she is not a starving artist.

Landon is a fantastic actress, and would be a great "get" for the role. If you've watched her in Animal Kingdom or Yellowstone, you can see, like these producers do, how much more she's putting into her characters. I have no doubt that if Yellowstone were to continue without her, that she would quickly land another part. All the speculating either way doesn't matter. We're not casting LuLu, #firefrank will have the final say. And Gawd help us if it's Bree Williamson, Jennifer Morris or (yeeesh) Kerry Butler.

Are these actresses being considered.
