I saw yesterday's episode.

I kinda liked the party and seeing everyone rocking on... including Steffy who is finally happy and I'm loving her vibe.

Hope is now in single white female territory. Bradley has turned her into an incredibly unlikable character.

Well, that was quick!!! lol. I wasn't expecting Danny and Cricket until at least Wednesday or Thursday. And I liked how the crossover was loosely tied into Brooke's Bedroom. So plausible.

But oh Lord Katie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only confronting Poppy and trying to get through to Bill. But she had the police on speeddial already...complete with search warrant. I hollered. Well, it's nice to see the plot moving.

And look!!! Will!!! Not surprised to see him with Liam. And Will is coming along nicely. I suspect post murder mystery...the conflict for Poppy/Bill will come from him.

B&B is clearly rewriting stories.

I swore that Bill + Li had a wink-wink about the first test guaranteeing that Bill would be Luna's father. If that's the case, why did Bill have so much angst about doing the test again?

Maybe Li actually tampered with the test without Bill's, which isn't surprising considering she's proven to be a horrible person. Li's true colors were revealed the day she intentionally withheld from Steffy that Finn was alive because she saw Liam comforting her. If she rigged the test, she now betrayed the man who saved her life.

I truly hope Luna and Poppy are written out in the near future. Or at least Luna. Poppy I can vibe with her screams and absurd storylines... but Luna... is starting to become one of the most one-dimensional and boring characters in this show's history. Bradley did it again - he invested 0 in someone and then expected us to care.

The entire Spencer family at this point is dead weight that Bradley is bored with, doesn't know what to do with. Bill is nowhere near the original character. These days he cries in every episode and is so melodramatic that at times I'm not sure if they are not actually giving him KKL's dialogue.

Katie is... dead. I'm sorry to say it, but Heather Tom has never looked more bored and more lost in this show than year 2024. I hope her son now gives her more of a meat to play, since the scenes with Poppy are NOT IT and are... I'm sorry but beneath Heather Tom's talent. Reminds me of how they made Susan Flannery have these confrontation scenes with Donna. It was cringe.

They do have a new aged son, but I am in serious doubts Bradley will go anywhere with him other than in a triangle with RJ and Luna for couple of months. We'll see.

P.S I forgot about Liam. My PTSD about this character probably kicked in. LIAM is dead weight. A character that has NOWHERE to go. I mean, the only storyline they haven't done is Brooke f-cking him. And even that would be boring. KICK HIM OUT! KICK HIM OUT. We are not going back!

The problem with Luna is that she's just not a developed character. She's "perfect" and "amazing" as RJ says, but HOW IS SHE THAT? She has no flaws. She became the #1 intern at FC in like...a day. There's nothing that makes her interesting as a character. The character is just FLAT, and this is 100% the fault of the writing. We're just told we should care about her but not WHY? Why should we care about her? And, it's sad because this soap NEEDS a lot more diversity, and it's great to have Asian actors...but develop the characters! Poppy, too. I don't really know who she is at this point. Crazy? On the up and up? Who the hell knows? Does BB know???

Heather Thom is VERY wasted on this show. Maybe something will happen with Will, but I can see them just writing him flat as well with no real personality.

    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
    • When you look at the period between Sweeps, it's as if they tried to maintain a kind of pace where they had a lot of plates spinning in the air & on their fingertips & the whole goal was nothing but to not drop any of those plates. A version of spinning one's wheels. They're not getting anywhere but they give the appearance of a whole lot of activity. I believe it's all about this appearance. At moments they accidentally hit a chord & something resonates but it is a false event.

    • I’m not speculating anything, but I admit, I’m getting a little worried about James Reynolds.
    • I feel like this is what they're doing by creating lots of storylines but their biggest weakness for years is the inability to properly pace these stories and give resolution. A good example now would be the Gio story which has been simmering for months with very little movement. I went from not caring to being invested to not caring again because of how long it's taking for the secret to be revealed. One story like that would be fine but it seems like everything moves at this snails pace on GH. They need to do a better job of rotating the stories so everything isn't in that same treading water phase.
    • However, those of us who watch DAYS have been spoiled. On Peacock there are no preemptions. Not for anything & not in or about any show.  I read somewhere that we Baby Boomers in a way invented instant gratification but then we realized that it was not fast enough.
    • The title track from the follow-up album Hot On the Trail is also co-written by Val Jean:
