Agreed, because as much as I may question the creative choices, there's still plenty to enjoy.

I'm eager to see where the Abigail story goes.  I want to know what happens to EJ now that he has so few supporters.  I enjoyed the pairing of Alex and Stephanie, so it will be nice to return to their story.

And, I think the strength of the show currently lies in the friendship dynamics that are always fun to watch.  Jada and Stephanie, Marlena and Kayla, Chad and Stefan, and even Abe and Kate have bonds of friendship that are sweet and interesting.

Finally, it is hard to argue that DAYS has more sexual diversity than any other soap.  It may be written immaturely, but I doubt we'll ever see another threesome in daytime.

That threesome happened a long time ago, and it wasn't followed up with anything, including sexual diversity. All we get is Leo panting and drooling over any guy who takes off his shirt.

Getting rid of Carlivati is a reason to celebrate.

But 8 more months of this crap? My God.

DAYS has had more than one threesome, right? And, the last one, Alex doing an excellent impression of the supposed male fantasy with two women was definitely not a long time ago.

We're DAYS fans. Aren't we somewhat accustomed to poor treatment?!

And, BTW, look what showed up in my Facebook Memories as a year ago?!!

Because it was for RSW and nothing more. So much drama could’ve been mined from that and they didn’t take the chance on any of it.

I’m suddenly reminded of the time I posted that clip of Whitney Houston singing “Impossible”

I generally think Abigail Klein is good as Stephanie, but she was awful today lol.  The hysterical crying?  Eek.

I don't know if it was the way the episode was structured or what, but Jada and Stephanie basically did a whole lot of nothing for an extended period of time and just let Bobby/Everett die lol.

Is BB out?  I seriously wasn't expecting him to die since I don't read spoilers.  And then they just rolled him out in a body bag.

I don't know why Ava/Kristen/everyone is so mean to Connie.  We know she's a psycho, but in general she is just being pleasant to people and they treat her with such disdain.  Sure, she's not as beautiful as Tamara Braun, but people are treating her like some bridge troll or something lol.

But no one knows that yet and everyone is just so mean to her.  Like laughably mean to her.  If I worked with her I'd probably pay no attention to her and everyone is acting like she is so "eccentric" and "weird".  Clearly she is a psycho, but she's not outwardly acting like one in this moment.

Kristen was so rude to her for 0 reason.  And then complained about the latte.  That wasn't for HER to begin with lol

Sadly, Janet Spellman-Drucker has done NOTHING since Alarr was fired that lets us know he's no longer there.

Yes, I understand the importance of getting rid of someone so awful and toxic. I just expected something -- ANYTHING -- that would improve the look and feel of the show.

COMPLETELY agree. It makes no sense, and actually amounts to bullying. Awful writing.

I think back to a year ago & go over in my mind, what happened. And, actually I believe Alarr was fired in August, but maybe the end of July works.

The fan campaign was in high gear. Fran Drescher met with Ken & someone from Sony. And, she set it up for them to meet with her people. And, after that second meeting with SAG-AFTRA people, they changed from slap on the wrist to FIRING HIM. So, I of course thank Soap Jesus but I really seriously thank Fran Drescher & their union!!!

I do wish that Peacock & Sony would get Ken to step down as EP & just remain as an Owner. The way I figure it Alarr was not only horrifying evil, he was also very aggressively active, so from that perspective, things are not as bad as they were, but I do not believe they are actually good.

Lol!  You get what I am saying.  It's almost misogynistic the way the show is talking about her.  Like Ava and Melinda gossiping about how Li would never go for that type of woman.  Because she's a bit overweight and not soap "pretty"?  Maybe Li Shin would like a woman that didn't think velvet long sleeve skin tight club dresses were appropriate in July.

    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
    • When you look at the period between Sweeps, it's as if they tried to maintain a kind of pace where they had a lot of plates spinning in the air & on their fingertips & the whole goal was nothing but to not drop any of those plates. A version of spinning one's wheels. They're not getting anywhere but they give the appearance of a whole lot of activity. I believe it's all about this appearance. At moments they accidentally hit a chord & something resonates but it is a false event.

    • I’m not speculating anything, but I admit, I’m getting a little worried about James Reynolds.
    • I feel like this is what they're doing by creating lots of storylines but their biggest weakness for years is the inability to properly pace these stories and give resolution. A good example now would be the Gio story which has been simmering for months with very little movement. I went from not caring to being invested to not caring again because of how long it's taking for the secret to be revealed. One story like that would be fine but it seems like everything moves at this snails pace on GH. They need to do a better job of rotating the stories so everything isn't in that same treading water phase.
    • However, those of us who watch DAYS have been spoiled. On Peacock there are no preemptions. Not for anything & not in or about any show.  I read somewhere that we Baby Boomers in a way invented instant gratification but then we realized that it was not fast enough.
    • The title track from the follow-up album Hot On the Trail is also co-written by Val Jean:
