In fairness I kind of got the impression they fúcked in between episodes. In the next one IIRC Chase is shirtless and BLQ is in a robe. But I agree it was far too underplayed and far too focused on them doing anything but have sex on their wedding night.

I do think the farewell scenes with Gregory and Finn were very good - him helping his aged father get ready for bed, the ritual of it and their final talk. ME was clearly very close to him and very affected by that material. I thought all that was quite well done. I thought the infomercial-level montage at Gregory's bedside at the end with that terrible 'we'll love the lovely years' in-house song they play all the time was shítty though.

I’ll be damned if that overexposed brat ever gets her chance to ruin that song with her “singing.”

You mean Chase allowed BLQ to look upon his nakedness?  That’s not gonna go over too well with the rest of the cult!

What about Blaze?

On another topic, seeing the fans who are just now learning that Gregory Harrison has been on TV for such a long time and marveling at various photos of him in those prime years makes me feel very old.

I’d rather Frank just skip using sets for a whole month and spring for Paul Anka.

It IS sad how so many young folks are so unaware of the hotness that was Gonzo Gates.

Still one of the most absurd things I’ve ever read, and the fact that the writers/producers all just go well that makes sense and allow it is stupid.

Lord Carly slipped right back into the mob wive apologist role so quickly. The fact that Jason decides to call Carly of all people after Sonny brutally attacks someone should tell you all you need to know about this toxic codependent throuple.

He looked more pained at Sonny’s man pain than he did when he missed Alan’s death.

How long was Gregory even a character on this show? He got a montage befitting a vet character being killed off and I literally just found out about him when I started this journey two months ago

It boggles my mind to realize this via the wiki but that [!@#$%^&*] had been on this show five years. (Not counting James Read's prior stint)

GH started as Gregory in November 2020, stayed around til June '21, then came back in May '22.

I guess I checked out of GH even further back than I remembered, 5 [!@#$%^&*] years?!

Again Michael Easton showed up for work in those scenes with Finn finding Gregory. I guess it’s nice to know he’s actually capable because he managed to make me care about his 3rd character on the show and that character’s dad just by showing that true heartbreak.

I’m going to be so pissed off when they hand wave all of Sonny’s [!@#$%^&*] behavior as his meds being tampered. Sonny is and has always been a selfish [!@#$%^&*] murdering prick medicated or unmedicated.

I think he was close to Gregory Harrison, but it's also close to home rn as (as reported in the OLTL thread) ME was holding his good friend Kamar de los Reyes' hand when he died last year.

    • I watched yesterday's episode on Paramount+ so today's episode was a repeat for me.

    • Looks like they never removed it as it is still there as of this reply.
    • In a way, it's a shame that Lynne Adams decided to leave the show when she did, because I think Mike and Leslie were positioned very well to become GL's tentpole couple.
    • Correct. Lynne Adams (Leslie) decided she wanted to leave the show, as Leslie hadn't been given much to do since Adams returned as Leslie in 1973 (and now everyone can witness her first scene returning as Leslie in 1973 on YT - unreal) I don't think the Dobsons tried to stop that from happening, as I think they wanted Mike single again. I agree, @DeeVee - they should have let Mike and Leslie have a child together. I wonder it they thought it would be too strange to have two siblings that could also be cousins

. As far as Ed and Holly go, at least they allowed Ed to show up at the end of TGL and take Holly on a "trip around the world". IMHO, I don't think Peter Simon had as much chemistry with Maureen Garrett as Mart Hulswit had, but I'm glad the show gave them a final scene together.
    • IF this gets a renewal I can't see LY sticking around
    • Well, I'm glad to know Devane and I are on the same wavelength, lol.  But seriously.  I don't believe there's any other word to describe the machinations that the producers constructed in the name of keeping Greg and Paige apart.  Greg and Paige made Sam and Diane look mature by comparison! Which would have been just as well, since a character like Greg Sumner didn't really belong in the '90's, as the storyline with the task force proved only too well.  If KL had returned for another season, it would've needed a MASSIVE overhaul, including ditching Greg, Paige, Claudia and Anne.  Mack and Karen would've needed to be there for the sake of continuity; and maybe some mileage could've been gained from exploring Gary's new life as a widowed single father.  (I still would've loved to bring back Julie Harris and have Lilimae help Gary take care of the twins).  Otherwise, it would've been a new era for KL, one without The Sumner Group, or stories like Wolfbridge and Empire Valley.
