I definitely felt at least one aftershock. I have experienced a few minor earthquakes since childhood so yeah, NY, NJ and CT have definitely had these a few times in the last few decades.

And I have experienced at least one train derailment years ago but it was not earthquake related, just a train on an icy track in disrepair on winter morning.

The commute home was the only time I felt a little uneasy today. I had to go over the Manhattan bridge.

I am used to quakes being pretty mid ever since moving to LA from NYC. I definitely wasn't expecting one to hit the city after I left. As I'm hoping to visit for an extended period again soon, here's hoping they don't circle back!
