After today’s shocking twist, wherein Steffy stabs Sheila on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Kimberlin Brown might have just concluded her more than 35-year run as Sheila Carter.

In an interview with TV Insider, Brown comments that what happened in the episode has put her in a tough place right now, but if anyone was going to take her character down, she’s happy it was Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy Forrester on the daytime drama series.

“I just wish that no one was taking Sheila down. It’s my happy place where I have been so blessed to be for over 35 years. But I’ve had a good run at it, so I’m one of the lucky ones, there’s no doubt about it,” said Brown of her exit from the series.

Growing up as a fan of “The Bold and the Beautiful” long before she joined the show’s cast, Wood also spoke to TV Insider and says of her co-star, “She elevates every scene and she’s so creative.” As for her character being able to put a nail in Sheila’s coffin, Wood adds, “For Steffy, hallelujah! This is her moment. How long has it taken Steffy to take her down and it’s finally happening, so it’s going to be a big shock,” while also noting, “For someone who used to watch the show, and to [now] go toe-to-toe against Sheila, that’s a really cool moment.”

Meanwhile, how Steffy deals with the aftermath of what she’s done, especially when Finn (Tanner Novlan) discovers what’s happened, knowing that Sheila is his birth mother, that’s a journey that’ll surely play out over the next several episodes as SINN fans will see while they board a roller coaster ride for what happens next.

That said, Steffy is still trying to rationalize what’s happened. “She’s in shock for a while. Even though she has to protect herself, protect her family, to still kill a human being is something that is so hard to wrap your head around. It’s very raw. It’s an emotional roller coaster for Steffy.”

Although Steffy would like to have Finn stand by her side during all of this, he himself might need comforting, particularly as he leans on Hope (Annika Noelle) while the two are at Sheila’s place on Friday, March 1.

Watch “The Bold and the Beautiful” weekdays on CBS to find out how everything goes down. You can also stream the series on Paramount+.

    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark

    • Many thanks to @skylark and @DRW50!
    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
    • I genuinely thought when they said she had been throwing up, we were going to get a pregnancy story. I’m actually not convinced we aren’t. Especially the way she and Doug danced around her own infidelity.
    • Shouldn't it be the other way? I don't think Taylor Hayes is playing Rebecca Budig.

    • And the most detailed discussion I've seen from an industry figure about some of JFP's worst choices as a producer (steamrolling over writers) was from another woman, Megan McTavish.
    • IMDb is definitely incorrect, because the final week of episodes in 1974 is uploaded to Youtube in audio form, and Mark and Laurie are there until the very end. The last episode shows Mark going back to the priesthood. I looked at the newspaper and the earliest reference to their house being haunted by Georgina is in December of 1973. This is dated Dec 14, but this same synopsis ran in the papers until the end of December in other publications. So it must have been within those last 3-4 months. I think Stephanie Braxton joined around 1969-1970 so that's probably right. I saw it stated in other newspapers that David Gale joined around September 1972.

    • Opal having siblings could add to the story. However, it raises questions about Tad's adoption. Why were the Martins allowed to adopt him if Tad had aunts or uncles who could have cared for him?  Logic limited the number of possible Gardner's (and whatever Opal's maiden name was).  Even though Linda Thorson would have been a hysterical choice given her British accent.  Especially because SOD often published questions by readers who wondered why Tad and Jenny didn't speak like their mother.   All of which is still not an excuse for Tad's evil doppelgänger Ted.
    • And if I remember correctly, at one point, they were considering having Linda Thorson play Opal's sister.
