Thanks @Paul Raven I'd never heard of that miniseries. Odd that they are trying to put him out to pasture at 53. Some of his biggest hits were ahead of him.

I'd never heard of Friends, or his horror pilot (not sure if that ever aired).

I think everyone involved tried to forget it. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't get edited down to movie length and renamed for a video or syndication release.

Friends had a short run in the dreaded Sun @7 slot against 60 Minutes. It was about 3 kids, one of whom was Jill Whelan (Vicky from Love Boat)

Between her and his own children Aaron seemed to have a thing for putting  homely kids onscreen.

The failure of "The French Atlantic Affair" must've really stung, because I don't think Aaron Spelling tried again with the miniseries format until "Hollywood Wives" in 1985.
