I read something that tells what Phyllis and Diane are saying outwardly to most of the other characters.  (This is in contrast to the promo where the viewers see what Phyllis is really thinking when she tells Michael.)  This is a summary:

Phyllis returns home from her visit to see Daniel. Phyllis tells Summer that she had a realization:  The realization was that she needed to let go of anger so that she could move on with life – specifically her anger at Diane.

Summer is like Really? Okay then show me that this is real, and Phyllis says ok.

Summer brings Diane and Phyllis together at Chancellor Park. Phyllis suggests to Diane that they put aside all their bad feelings for the sake of their children.  Diane agrees gladly.

Afterwards, Phyllis and Diane (separately) reach out to Jack to tell him about the olive branch breakthrough.

Diane sees Jack in person and tells him.  Jack notices that Diane *seems* to be doing all the right things.  He tries to give Diane the benefit of the doubt because of Kyle.

Phyllis texts Jack that she wants to meet. Jack is cautious and agrees to give her five minutes.

The Y&R youtube channel uploads a new short 2-minute or 3-minute clip daily. Each clip is from whatever episode airs in the US on that date.

This clip seems to be two episodes early.  This has not aired in the US yet.  Nor was it in the Canadian day-ahead episode.

(That YT channel is US only, so you'd probably have to watch on a VPN if you're outside the USA.)

I think this will air Tues. 21 June in US, or Mon. 20 June in Canada (unless another preemption delays it).
This is the scene where Phyllis has just arrived home from visiting Daniel and she tells Summer that she wants peace, and Summer says okay prove it and meet with Diane right now:

EDIT -- well the clip was up for 48 hours ...
And then the Y&R youtube channel finally caught their error and made it "private" to everyone, even in the USA.
I think will become viewable again on Tues. June 21 or Wed. June 22.

My thoughts:

The first thing I saw was the write-up and I was like what?  Phyllis wants a truce? The way I read it, she sounds sincere.  I was like what?

Then I saw the accidentally-early-posted episode clip where Phyllis sounds so zen.  Like she doesn't want that toxic anger anymore.  I was like WHAT?

Then I saw the "next week on Y&R" clip and I agreed with Diane that this is wild.

Then finally I saw the promo!  Okay then.  That's the real Phyllis.

This reminds me of that article previewing the week of April 4th when Phyllis and Jack meet with Diane in Los Angeles.

Week of April 4th: "In 2002 when they were married, Phyllis could say to Jack that she didn't want that bitch living in their pool house. But she's not married to Jack now and the dynamics have changed.  Plus she has to consider Kyle's feelings.  Phyllis has a plan of how to get this woman out of their lives anyway. Instead of screaming and moaning about Diane being in town she will let her bury herself. Phyllis knows it's only a matter of time before Diane takes herself down."

I remember reading all that months ago, and wondering who/what is this "more mature Phyllis" ? Is it a ruse? Finally now in June we learn yeah it's a ruse.  Phyllis wants Diane gone. She's just going to be sneaky about it.

There was something I read months ago about how there would be a Phyllis/Jack/Diane triangle but the rivalry would be *only* about their offspring, and *not* a romantic rivalry.

Despite the Phyllis/Jack one-night-stand in May, I get that feeling that Phyllis doesn't really want Jack.  She simply doesn't want Diane to have him.  So she's faking this truce to get back on Jack's good side.

@janea4old Remember there was that funny spoiler a month or so back about “Phyllis weaves a tangled web when she practices to deceive”? I wonder if this is what they were talking about lol.

But I agree with your assessment and it will be interesting to see Phyllis again in her true form, something we haven’t seen in quite some time. Seeing Phyllis stalk around in a big hat is hilarious. I figured she would be the one to become unhinged at some point which she already has a bit when she has lost it a bit talking to Summer.

At the very least should be a fun summer on this end.

Gloria, Chelsea, and Chloe?

I thought there was a spoiler about Chelsea going nuts too but so far she’s barely appeared this month. Not that I am complaining lol.

It would be interesting to see if Imani and Amanda have some type of schism.

I think Chelseas stuff will be happening soon. The next week spoilers say Adam tries to help her.

And Ik some ppl didn't like that 5o podcasts announcement but I'm acrually enjoying how Imnai is slowly turning Nate against everyone. "Oh Devon and Amanda are holding us back etc etc."

You could be right. I didn't recognize his sillouette from the back, but the hair color matches, with the same whiter sideburn area.

But I cannot imagine Ashland wearing blue jeans. So I don't know.

Maybe Ashland is wearing "dad jeans" for some time with Harrison?

    • Again, Bernau's illness impacted that. It's pretty obvious Pilon was always meant to be temporary. I read an article from that period that said he was working on both Ryan's Hope and GL at the same time. So he wasn't on contract for either show. (Maybe that explains somewhat why his performance was so low energy, because he was overworked doing two soaps). Later, they put him in the opening and in commercials for the show. That must have been because they were certain Bernau was not returning. Around that time, they approached Zaslow about being the permanent replacement for Bernau. He turned them down and suggested coming back as Roger. Pilon stayed so they could re-introduce Roger and write an exit for Alan. I'm guessing if MZ had not wanted to come back, they would have had no choice but to keep Pilon (which I don't think they wanted, or maybe Pilon wasn't interested) or send out a casting call for a new Alan. I think they wanted to avoid that because they were really determined not to let the nature of Bernau's illness to become public knowledge. At this point, they were still keepin up the fiction that he was going to return even while this stuff was happening BTS.   Yeah, it seems crazy now, but people forget how stigmatized AIDS was back then. I'm convinced the idea to ask Zaslow to take the role came about so they could replace Bernau as quietly as possible. Everyone would have been so surprised it would have taken the focus off Bernau not returning. It makes a kind of twisted sense. Still, thank goodness Zazlow said no and they said yes to his suggestion to return as Roger. The way everything worked out gave GL a few more strong years. I guess it's the nature of soaps, you never know what things in real life will end up strongly impacting the show, both negatively and positively. (Something just occurred to me. If Zazlow HAD said yes to playing Alan...he would have had to play being in love with Reva.

    • I truly do not understand why this has not happened. It's so un-Carly-like not have confronted Joss already.
    • He definitely had it going on back in the day
    • I have long given up on logic and Mayor Laura Collins! It makes about as much sense as Luke being elected mayor over Lee Baldwin in the 80’s, maybe even less sense. She committed manslaughter as a teenager, was involved with a mobster (I guess credit for them taking Smith down), had a shoot out in her home and killed another mobster in self defense, thought she bludgeoned her stepfather to death, then was catatonic for years. Her current husband had a twin that was a serial killer, had his own breakdown that threatened lives, and most recently hid his brother for treatment and that allowed Ryan to escape and kill again. And had hook killer Esme as a houseguest and is raising her child. I don’t care for Sonny anymore but their relationship is just another thing that involves suspension of belief to watch the show. I wish someone on this show would remind these adults that they used to pull way worse stuff than this! I would love a scene where Laura is sitting with Lulu and tells her while she is not happy this is nothing compared to what she got up to when she was young, and maybe even some understanding that she would also do stupid stuff if she believed in the cause. Olivia reminding Dante that he was wild as a teen and this isn’t that. Felicia reminding Anna that they were being shot at when pretty close to Emma’s age. These characterizations are just so basic. Have some fun with the actual history of the show. That kind of wink would mean more to me than just name dropping some random fact.
    • There are no dumb questions here, we've all known each other long enough to fill in information without shaming each other.  We want you to be happy @carolineg.  Your POV as one of the few women here is vital. So, please, I hope you never feel as if any question, idea, or opinion is ever silly or stupid.  Your daily reminders about the realities of manicure and menstrual management has become a part of the personality of this thread. As for Hank, while I'm confident there's a plan in place.  It is frustrating that they announce these casting so far in advance that it is tough as an audience and wait it out until the thing happens.  I'm happy they didn't blow it the second Mike was in town, a week after meeting Liam. So, it is a slow burn. And, conveniently, he lets us know when his episodes air.

Speaking of silly stuff, is anyone bothered by the placement of Tony's pocket on his shirt?  It is so odd that whatever bargain bin they found it, would choose to place a huge black pocket over the floral design?
    • I think his full name is Chadwick.  I remember, back when the previous actor was playing him, someone called him Chadwick a couple of times.  It may have been Stefano.
    • I didn't like those two sleeping together, but I suuure liked seeing BF in them. Wiggle and all. Just sad about the waxing of the chest.   Same.
    • It’s strange. I wonder if the writers at that time had worked with him somewhere else and had a relationship? That time is murky AF to find info on. Rachel Ames in effect left the show at one point in the early 80’s and she is credited like she was there until JFP. Tristan Rogers also took various contract breaks that were not short, and websites also credit him one long stint from 1981-1992. So many people come and go in short succession in 1982-part of 1983. I know they lost a lot of viewers when Genie left, but the show somehow survived yearly at number one through like sheer force of will.
