  • B&B: B... At least the acting and situations have been riveting even though it's been done before.
  • DAYS: F...God this soap is horrible. Every story and return has been an epic failure.
  • GH: D....I started watching again and I was so bored
  • Y&R: C...The show would've gotten an F but Diane's return alone made this soap interesting again.

Actually...

B&B:  B

The leadup to Sheila being exposed as shooting Finn and Steffy and the Twist at the End of the Month were well paced for me on a show where there are episodes that are just talking episodes. And then you had Donna/Eric/Quinn starting. And then there was the mess with Grace/Carter/Paris popping in and out. So there were a few things on the side going on, too.

Y&R: B

Surprisingly this has probably been the most interested since Mal Young went left in his run. Diane's return has recharged everything and the writers ran with it. And I liked Teriah's wedding when I was not expecting, too. The only misstep I found that after being so heavy at the start of the month, the Ashland story vanished. And there is still too much stop start going on (Rey's death, Chance's PTSD, Imani/Nate/Elena) for my taste.

GH: C

Almost done and while I've enjoyed it, I can't deny that after Harmony's excitingly paced reign of terror, the momentum got lost. It just felt like the pieces were there, the potential was there, but...nothing.

DAYS: N/A

I'm back on March. lol.

GH: C sloppy plotting and overbloated cast featuring stunt casted actors, at least stuff happens.

B&B D+: Poorly written, repetitive plotting and dialouge, yet there's a few twists to keep eyeballs on the screen sometimes

Y&R D+: Diane's return added some life to the canvas, but overall it's boring.

DAYS: I don't watch it enough to grade it but I know there's piss poor production values and it's past its prime

Question: I know budget cuts constrain production values, but did soaps forget how to write? Any prime time show with daytime's current level of quality would've been canned a long time ago.

    •   Thank you! Agreed on both posts. And the comments about Mike Manning are nonsense.
    • I haven't watched yet, but did they explain the current ownership of The Bistro?  Because when RonC was writing, wasn't he applying for work with Sophia?
    • I think Brandon has gotten better in normal day to day scenes, but he’s very over the top when the character is meant to be angry or agitated. I did laugh when she started yelling at Leslie and then when he started to throw all those damn books, lol. He needs an acting coach to work out some of these kinks.
    • I've never found him as bad as some. I think he's always shined in scenes with Vernon, who should be his father. I also think he has great chemistry with Kat and Dani which I hope they tap into more over time. Dani/Martin feel like such a fun and believable Auntie/Nephew relationship.
    • I'm fighting for my life on another board for my husband Brandon and I'll do it here too lmao
    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.
