The official trailer for the film“Deep Water” was released yesterday by Hulu.

The movie stars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas as Vic and Melinda Van Allen, a married couple who play dangerous mind games and what happens to the people that get caught up in them. “All My Children” alum Finn Wittrock also stars playing the role of Tony, one of Melinda’s conquests.

Hitting the streaming service on Tuesday, March 18, the film’s cast also includes Tracy Letts, Lil Rel Howery, Dash Mihok, Jacob Elordi, Kristen Connolly, Rachel Blanchard, Jade Fernandez, Michael Braun, Grace Jenkins, Brendan C. Miller and Devyn Tyler

Produced by Garrett Basch, Steven Zaillian, Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner, Arnon Milchan and Anthony Katagas, the film was directed by Adrian Lyne from a screenplay by Joe Penhall, based on the novel “Deep Water” by Patricia Highsmith.

I'm excited about this specifically because it's the return of the great Adrien Lyne, master of the erotic thriller in the '80s and '90s (and 2000s, with Unfaithful). Nobody could film tactility and desire like him. I hope it works out. I had no idea it was a Highsmith adaptation.
