Members Faulkner
I’m assuming you didn’t watch Them? I was aghast when I read what happens in that show. No way am I going there... Edited April 15, 2021 by Faulkner
Members ChitHappens
Nope! Wasn't touching that. There are so many things to write about. Lovecraft Country was great (sans the finale) but I just don't wish to watch black folks in pain and suffering 24/7. Bridgerton was a great escape from that and there are tons of other stories to tell, that have been told and are being told. WTF was Lena doing here? I won't be watching anymore slave sh!t that is written for the sake of showing how black people have suffered at the hands of whites. That's ongoing. Don't need 1,000 films/tv shows about it.
Members Faulkner
There’s so many more coming too. I always wanted an adaptation of Octavia Butler’s Kindred, which is a sci-fi time-travel novel about slavery that I read in college. But now that there’s an actual adaptation of it coming in the next year or so, ugh, now I don’t want it. We don’t need 50,000 slave narratives.
