To Shave Or Not To Shave....That Is The Question

In the ATWT thread I mentioned that Baby Boomer men of the 70's and 80's were able to pull off the mustache and make it look good. What soap actors past and present do you think looked/looks good with mustache, beard etc...and the ones who didn't/ don't ? You can also include actors who should give it a try.

Peter Reckell’s facial hair is iconic, but he was handsome clean shaven. He just didn’t stand out without the beard.

Bo and Josh were the first two that came to mind for me, and they both looked great when they shaved, but I preferred them with beards.  I am not usually a fan of a mustache, but with some people it does just look right.

Victor Newman has to be the longest tenured mustache on daytime.

   

 

Shemar Moore looks better with facial hair, and Nathan Purdee is another one that looks great with a mustache.  I can’t think of anyone who tried one and it failed though.
