In 2012/2013 I remember reading Carly Schroeder aka Serena Baldwin was slated to return to General Hospital when Lynn Herring and Kin Shriner had first came back. However, it didn't come to fruition for some reason. In addition, I heard Ron had written in Serena and had cast someone as Christina Baldwin (Lucy and Scotty's daughter from Port Charles) several times too. I also remember Christina was going to come onto the show with her boyfriend and was going to lie saying Scotty was harassing her. Don't know if it was true or false. To be fair I read this on a GH blog and social media so it was probably the latter.

Yep. All true, supposedly. I was told the same thing. Christina was the one he hit. Or something like that. Really don't understand what Ron was thinking with that one, damn. I hadn't heard about Schroeder coming back as Serena then, but it makes sense. They likely cut it when they added Kristen Alderson as Starr then Kiki. I always felt like Kiki took over Serena's place on the canvas at the time. But maybe we're all better off. Serena/Michael/Morgan? No thanks. But maybe Serena/Michael could have sparked ...

I remember in the mid-80s ABC was planning to bring Karen Wolek back to OLTL and Christine Tudor was cast.  But at the last minute that idea was dropped but Ms. Tudor did wind up playing Gwyneth Alden on LOVING!

Christine Tudor would have been great as Karen #3 on One Life to Live!

If the character had remained or returned, more storyline could have been given to Dr. Larry Woleck and Dr. Danny Woleck in later years, and that would have been very good!
