Lawd. Wallow and Shiloh just below Sonny and Carly in the episode counts? The focus on them is awful. Lawd. Make it stop!

That was Musgrave? I KNEW I recognized her. I always preferred her to Melvin (though Melvin made a better Billie/Bo kid, I thought Musgrave would have been a better Bo/Hope kid; Chelsea should have been Bo and Hope's).

And interesting how Leslie Charleson gets no screentime when Jackie Zeman/Bobbie is featured. Not enough money in the budget for both Frank?

Thanks for the counts!

The monthly leaders is a sad reminder why the show is so ... ugh. (Minus Jon Lindstrom, of course)

That's good! And LOL I do know it's true! I always notice when she disappears, lol. I notice when any of the vets disappear for long stretches. It's funny because when I start thinking about them, the show clearly has been too and then all of a sudden, there they are (or like, if say, I notice they hadn't used Diane or Epiphany/Milo in a long time, and voila, all of a sudden, there they are! lol)

It was nice to see Jackie/Bobbie a bit more but the problem is they don't do a good job keeping them involved. It isn't hard. Look how easily they re-inserted Mac, Felicia, and now Scott and Bobbie. They feature them a bit and then they vanish. But I do think it's improved this year, personally. Not great, but at least we see them.

Maybe don't have 1,000 cast members ....

Doing the episode counts makes me painfully aware of those long absent stretches. They make me sad!

I agree, consistency and integration is key. Mac, Felicia, Bobbie and Scott have been utilized really well lately. This is Bobbie's little story resurgence. I think they noticed she was barely used the first few months of the year and are trying to rectify it. Mac, Felicia and Scott have been consistently used a few times a month, if not more, on average this year, and I love it!

I'm glad they're trying to rectify it. I don't think the writing is all that interesting but I do think the current HW's try. I do. Frank and Varni are the bigger problems here.

I agree on Mac, Felicia and Scott. Felicia seems to be on a break at the moment. I notice too the long absences. But it's been better this year! I'll take it. I can't believe some fans on Twitter were hoping Phelps would "Save" the show. I mean, that bitch gutted the show of it's total core. She nearly destroyed it (it may have looked good and things were happening but lawd ...). No thanks, as bad as Frank is ... no thanks. I'm sure Gary Tomlin is praying for the job and Barbara Bloom is probably praying for the writing gig.

The consistency remains the problem. They do well for a while (Milo suddenly popped up in the DoD story; I've noticed Epiphany is again being used more and they remembered Felix exists) but then they all vanish ... so, we'll see. LOL.

Meanwhile, again, that top 10 is tragic for the month (minus Donnell Turner and maybe Chad Duell). No wonder the show is so uninteresting.

    • The live video tribute to Drake last night with current and former actors Thread with link to video: https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/68987-days-currentformer-actors-live-video-tribute-for-drake-hogestyn  They said that the episodes were filmed out of order over a span of time. As we already knew, re: the upcoming memorial service (not spoiling the airdate here)... the memorial service was taped *before* Drake passed away, and then the studio was on a preplanned hiatus, and the actors learned of his passing during the hiatus. New info from the video last night, is that some of what recently aired (such as June 3rd episode ) was taped *after* the hiatus, so after Drake passed away. Maybe I misunderstood what Martha Madison said, but it sounded that way. My god, I don't know how the actors filmed it, especially Diedre.
    • I did not expect Peter Reckell to be the one to break my heart today. Incredible scenes with Bo and his family.
    • Barbara, to me, is a mixture of Florence Ballard and Betty McGlown/Barbara Martin (both McGlown and Martin were part of the Primettes before they became a trio and were renamed the Supremes).
    • Maeve Kincaid said in interviews that she misses slapping Jordan Clarke's face..something along the lines "He knew how to take a slap!"   Or voodoo dolls..LOL!
    • Staci Greason was in Paris during this live tribute, which would have been in the middle of the night where she was. So Fairman arranged to pretape Greason earlier in the same day, and then spliced her part into the end of the video after the live feed, and it's all on the same youtube.
    • Agree to disagree. I like it. No doubt it's different. It's supposed to be. Is it dated? Yes, but then that's natural, it's from 1977. I think that reviewer needed to watch a few more episodes. It is clever but not precocious. The role reversal IMO works & well. The best thing I could advise anyone interested, is to try it for yourself, you can always quit it if you don't like it. As much of it as some of us were able to gain access to are up on the Internet Archive & also on my Rumble acct. If you need further directions, PM me.
    • This was really amazing to watch.   They said that a lot of stuff was filmed out-of-order, over a few weeks. John's memorial service was filmed a few days before Drake died, and then there was a prescheduled pause (the studio being dark for a haitus week).  So they got the news of his passing during the break. But some of the recent stuff at John's bedside (such as his death) was filmed after that hiatus break, so not long after Drake died.

I don't know how the actors got through it, especially Deidre. They said regarding episodes airing week of June 9th stuff, it will seem less dark to viewers, as there were some (relatively)  lighthearted moments. (not giving spoilers here).  But I guess Drake was still alive when those scenes were filmed, even though they knew he'd pass soon.
    • Thinking about where the current Cassadines are.  Alexis, Molly, Kristina, and Scout are currently active on canvas. Technically, Ace is on canvas, although we never see him. Jake is in school in Spain? Valentin and Charlotte are currently off-canvas, I think? I've lost track. I thought Valentin was in a prison somewhere, but then I remember reading something about Charlotte, and deciding if she'd live with Valentin or Lulu, but I don't remember what was decided.  I'm unclear on where Valentin is now. Nikolas is in prison. Did I miss anyone?
    • Thank you! Also, can't seem to find Oct thru December '73. I thought it was here at one time.
