It's so awful. I miss when, even when the motive was ludicrous, they made you BELIEVE they wanted to achieve that goal. All the soaps are basically coasting. There's no investment. And when there is investment it's spent wasting time trying to make the latest pets work. I mean look at GH. Every episode is full of pets getting as much writing as possible to make them work.

As for Nina's kid, I don't care if it's Kiki or anyone else, I don't think the kid is necessary on any level.  Hayley Erin still hasn't improved and Kiki/Griffin are like watching paint dry.

 

Oscar's sudden brain tumor is another plot point story that came out of the blue that feels forced.  Can't kids just have normal problems--  acne, not feeling comfortable in their own skin, etc.? Introducing Oscar and shoring up the Quartermaine family's tree branches (at least a little) was a decent idea. Making him (temporarily?) terminal is not. We've lost enough Quartermaines, thank you.   Also- why don't these kids have dayplayer friends? Josslyn, Cameron and Oscar spend no time with anyone else their own age.

Michael moping around.... so what else is new. He needs to lighten up and start screwing random women--- He's part Spencer, part Quartermaine, part Corinthos. He should be chasing tail, not paperwork.

 

The death of Gail Baldwin should bring Serena to town for good, as well as a couple of Denise Alexander pop-ins and some flashbacks with Monica, Scott and Lesley.

 

In just a few scenes, Lynn Herring breathed some much needed life into the show......

 

And I'm SO sick of the "Sonny is a good man". If you have to keep saying it and repeating it: IT'S NOT TRUE. The viewers can decide for themselves.

 

I have no investment in Finn (or his family even if James Read is good and Chase is hot to look at), Nina, Franco, Kiki, Julian, Kim, Drew ... why the [!@#$%^&*] are they leading stories? All total wastes of contracts that should be filled with familiar GH faces.

And they have no idea what to do with Ava and Griffin. It's embarrassing that there'd ever be anything between Kiki and Griffin. Reminds me of Sabrina and Patrick. Forced for whatever reason when you have better options staring you in the face.

 

The show is a mess and it doesn't have to be. The pets are the problems.

 

And what's the point of Kristina coming back? Is she going to screw Julian? Be the one to reunite Alexis and Julian? I mean WHO CARES? Lawd. Make it stop.

 

And Finn and Anna playing kissy face does nothing for me.

 

A retcon and a newbie played by soap hoppers are wastes of characters (and it's a waste of Tamara Braun) crying over their retcon kid who can't act.

 

It's so bad. And the show has no energy.

I will say thing about GH that I do like lately, and that's Ava repeatedly making horrible and ugly remarks about her daughter.  I loved the scene where Kiki slapped Ava across the face!  It's wrong and perverse, but right now, it's the main story that keeps me coming back!  Less interesting is Ava and Griffin's breakup or, the possible new romance between Kiki and Griffin.  Since Griffin is now supposedly poor and struggling and without his work or his faith, let him turn to male prostitution or star in a porn film for something a little different!

Why did Kristina drop out of college to be a bartender? And why did that claim that was her only job opportunity like there aren't better paying jobs for people with no degree and little experience than working in a bar that barely gets customers? 7 years in college and still no undergrad degree yet she drops out yet again in the beginning of the semester.
