Just a reminder to people that you can think you're perfectly fine and still suffer from anxiety. For years I thought there was no way I had Anxiety, but all the doctors I met for check-ups and things like that always told me the symptoms I was having were due to anxiety. I never believed them till I started cutting toxic people out of my life and just taking time to deal with stress without pushing it under the rug or down-playing it - what I mean - I have days only for my mental health - I go alone to restaurants, I look around nature and try to find the feeling of peace.

Ever since I've been doing this, slowly all my symptoms like headaches and stomach issues or muscle spasms have went away. The doctors were right. I remember one telling me - Just in the demeanor you are speaking to me and telling me how you don't have anxiety... I think you do.

Sometimes we can't see ourselves clearly.

And now... lately I've had some family issues and some work stress moments... all of this has been making me have muscle spasms and this incredibly annoying spasm in my throat from time to time that feels like I'm choking. I know it will go away soon when I find the peace again.

Just remember - you can feel happy, but still have anxiety and issues that need working on. Never ignore the small signs your body and psyche is sending you.

Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.

Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov
