Since there is a thread of old school Nickelodeon, why not have one for Disney Channel.

Growing up in the 90s, Disney Channel was one of my favorite channels to see as a child, I even liked the shows from the early 2000s as well

I have seen clips of Disney Channel from the 80s and wow, it was totally different.

So to start things off here's come 90s Disney Channel

The late 90's/early 2000's was definitely the best time for the disney channel....who can forget Zoog Disney and the Zoogs! and shows like "So Weird" "Jet Jackson" "The Jersey" "Lizzie McGuire" and even old re-runs of sitcoms like "Brotherly Love", "The Torkelsons" "Growing Pains and also more serious shows like "Ready or not" "flash forward" etc.....

I also loved the old "Jingle" they used from 1997-2000 during the commercial bumpers.....The Jamaican sounding one....

I even enjoyed Vault Disney with the Original Mickey Mouse Club, Zorro, Wonderful world of Disney and Spin and Marty....I have such fond memories of being in the 2nd-4th grade and staying up till 2 in the morning (on weekends haha) watching all those shows...LOL

I have to admit I don't necessarily think all the shows now on disney are that terrible, but newer generations are surely missing out on what we had for TV.....and I can't stand the endless block of sitcoms they show, though I'm grateful for Disney Rewind and the showing of old DCOMS late at night.....

(The jingle i'm referring to is played in the Mickey promo at the start though it's a retro variation)

That's So Raven was the last Disney Channel show I enjoyed......probably the funniest show too.....at the same time it started the ongoing trend that every new show had to be some sitcom of sorts and that's where it really went downhill....

I think Disney XD probably does a little Better....I mean I don't have it, but they did show a few episodes of that Kirby Buckets show on the regular channel which IMO looks like a boy version of "Lizzie Mcguire" (with more gross humor added)

somewhere I have the "MMC" marathon tape from labor day 1999 where they showed 8 hours worth of episodes.....it's too bad we couldn't watch that show too growing up cause disney was still premium cable...

    • I guess it depends on your device.  I can watch CW shows via their website on my Windows PC.
    • Ooooo A Liam episode? I'll watch it later today. They sure are churning the daily episodes out early.

    • Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while. It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though. And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future. But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that. As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either. Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.

    • I enjoy BF better on Days than on YR.   Chad is greater than Cane, in my opinion.
    • Ick! Seeing MS and BF making out as the characters onscreen was just ewwww.
    • The SON board.
