I didn't see a thread here for this show. I thought about getting the DVD's since it has been years since I had seen it. Are there any fans out there ?

I've been wanting to see this ever since SOAPnet aired the reruns. It seems just like my kind of Sunday afternoon entertainment.

I got my DVD's of season 1 and have watched a few so far. They did some heavy stories for that time period.

In the pilot, Morgan Fairchild plays a prostitute who is raped by some college guys. James Brolin convinces her she was violated even though she sells her services for a living.

Barbara Parkins and Carol Lynley play college friends who stay at the hotel for a reunion and Carol tells Barbara she is a lesbian and loves her.

Robert Reed and Leigh Taylor Young stay at the hotel. Leigh's daughter who is 8/9 is left with the hotel babysitter played by Leigh J. McCloskey and she later falsley accuses him of molesting her.

Tori Spelling was in the Christmas episode and sorry to say she was annoying and not cute even then.

Richard Hatch becomes obsessed with Connie Selleca and stalks her.

Hotel had one of the weakest and most underused supporting casts - Michael Spound,Heidi Bohay and Nathan Cook disappeared back to obscurity after this.Hopefully they saved their pennies.They should have been thankful for the little work they got in that series.

LOL....I thought that too about Marlena, Keith and Lloyd.

I know that Michael Spound and Heidi Bohay married in real life after the series ended. Nathan Cook sadly died after the series ended when he had an alergic reaction to penicillin.

Shea Farrell ( Mark Danning seasons 1-3) seems to have moved behind the camera. A lot of people thought he would be the breakout star due to his looks, but that never happened. I forgot that he was on Capitol (the original Matt McCandless) prior to being cast on Hotel.

Thanks. That is a great Ad. The 80's was the last great glamour period.

More great Ad's. I have the episode on the DVD with Sally Kellerman. Sally is married to Ted Shackelford and Mitchell Ryan is a sleazy producer that shows up and blackmails Sally threatening to tell her husband about her porn past. Ted dumps her in the end anyway because he can't get past it.

The thing about Hotel was that there was not always a happy ending like Love Boat.

I remember seeing an episode of this when I was a kid - it was a rerun on cable. This was years before SOAPnet, so it was probably Lifetime. Anyway, about all I can remember is that Heidi Bohay's character was sexually assaulted. That was the first time I had ever seen rape depicted on TV.

I have not seen that episode. Wonder how many people got raped, molested, assaulted at that Hotel during the series run ?
