THR indicates CBS showed a TP teaser trailer to investors. Unknown if that's new or the BTS one from December. Fingers crossed.

In other news, Alicia Witt's TWD appearance last weekend really makes me hope her heavy hints about returning to TP are true and that Gersten Hayward has a much-expanded role with her big sister presumably out of town. 

I thought Kiefer was very good in the movie...overplaying it would have been irritating, and the movie wasn't really involved with the type of overplaying often in the show. It was a very harrowing film.

 

I do think he gave a very atypical performance from what he's known for, very mannered but not too much. I'd love to see Sam again and there are rumors but no one knows.

 

I do think both Sheryl Lee and Dana Ashbrook still go way beyond the beyond in the film in that classically Lynch over the top of the top way, but it doesn't really play much for laughs in the film. (Except for when Laura's stoned, and that's pretty dark humor.) That being said he was a big fan of the comedy in the show and pushed it to where it went there (until mid-Season 2), and there was a lot of comedy cut from the film.

Two more additions.

A few weeks back... I had the opportunity to work with a legend himself... David Lynch. I have been such a fan of his work for years that when I got the phone call... I had to pinch myself. He is such an extraordinary artist, in every way. Then, my dear friend @jessicastamofficial surprised me and sent me this book: Catching The Big Fish (meditation, consciousness, and creativity) written by David! (Thanks⚡️) It is such an amazing read! Here's part of the intro: "Ideas are like fish. If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you've got to go deeper. Down deep, the fish are more powerful and more pure. They're huge and abstract. And they're very beautiful"... He provides a rare window into his methods as an artist, his personal working style, and the immense creative benefits he has experienced from the practice of meditation:) I enjoyed this book all the way around....Check It out! I may get hate for saying this, but I really do hope they don't overdo that aspect, especially since it will be on cable now. I love me a good scare, but am NOT looking for too much of a scary series -- never a fan, never will be. (Yes, I am aware the original had quite a few scary moments).

Julee Cruise herself did the theme song for the Twin Peaks-themed episode of Psych. She's rumored to be doing material for the new show - she's true eccentric and her live performances at recent TP events have had some difficulties, but I love her voice and I hope she does it.

Publishers Weekly has an intriguing logline about Mark Frost's upcoming The Secret History of Twin Peaks:
