?????

Sources tell us According to Jim star James Belushi has been added to the show’s cast, which reportedly also includes returning Peaks stars Sherilyn Fenn, Miguel Ferrer, Sheryl Lee, and Lynch regular Laura Dern, in addition to announced series star Kyle MacLachlan. Normally we’d be leading off with the new casting, but Showtime (via Lynch) has a policy of not confirming any Twin Peaks casting. “I would not hold my breath for an announcement of all the casting of Twin Peaks,” Nevins told reporters dryly. If true that Belushi’s on board it’s an interesting addition: the actor was in ABC’s miniseries Wild Palms, which was perceived by some as inspired by the success of Twin Peaks.

I do remember Wild Palms, which fascinated me as a kid as part of the nation's ongoing post-TP hangover. I don't know how well it holds up today.

Belushi did a fair amount of dramatic acting, but it seems like a long time ago...

I'm not sure how he'll fit into Twin Peaks, but we'll see I guess.

Jennifer Jason Leigh is interviewed re: Hateful Eight, and the interviewer gets in a question about her allegedly being spotted shooting TP:

Can you say, literally, one word about Twin Peaks?

I can’t say that I even know anything about it. [Pauses] I know nothing about it!!! [Laughs]

Still the same hair (just older now). I wonder where they will be taking her.

At first I thought that said #IShitDreamy.

Think this link should work. Kyle, Lynch and co. on location at a hotel in L.A.

Kyle's in the passenger side of the yellow jeep to the right dressed in his suit. Lynch is dead center. Beside Lynch by the curb to the right we have what may be Dana Ashbrook standing to one side. Orrr it could just be a crew guy.

Michael J. Anderson, an eccentric performer at best who has a history of ranting about "the Jewish mob" who runs Hollywood on his FB, has taken to it to claim once again that he is out:

This is par for the course for Anderson who is notoriously difficult. I personally fully expect to see him in 2017 (or 2018, depending on seasons). As the Twin Peaks Archive reminds us given the actor's storied history in fandom:

Michael Horse (Hawk) talks to the Twin Peaks Unwrapped podcast. His comments on the new show were transcribed:

All those people out there wondering if the new series is going to be good ... yes. We all have been very secretive about it. With all this great television in the last ten years, Fargo, True Detective, Game of Thrones, I thought will the fans be disappointed? But about three days into doing it, I thought ... no they won't. There's nobody like David. As an artist he changed the face of television. He and Mark made so many things possible. He has been such a big influence.

I didn't know how the new cast would be. Everybody was so happy. Kyle was so kind and so excited to see everybody. There's all kind of new little hip kids who they are going to be in. And I have some great things to do. They have been so generous as to what I have to do and I'm pretty excited about it. And I'm going to tell you that when you see Andy and Lucy in this one, you're going to bust up... they're better then they ever were!

And in this one David is hands on. He's directing all the episodes and Mark is there too. I have huge respect for Mark. It's a combination between those two, that's what's going to make this what it is.

And you were recently on the new Twin Peaks promo for Showtime?

I don't like to be interviewed. I was just sitting around with nothing to do and they say will you talk to these guys? I wasn't trying to be deep or anything, I was telling them how I feel. There's holy places up there. And location becomes an important character in some things like in John Ford's movies or The Lord of the Rings and Twin Peaks.

How did you the find out that Twin Peaks was coming back?

There was a rumor. I never thought it would come back, I didn't even know if it should come back. And then it was confirmed it was coming back and everybody was asking, are you going to be in it? And I said that nobody called me. But then David called me from Paris and he was like 'Hey buddy we're getting the game back together! I asked,  do you got something for me? Yeah, I got something for you.' And I'm really happy with what they gave me to do.
