It's amazing just how much they've made Kyle MacLachlan's Bad Dale/Doppelganger look like Frank Silva/BOB, from the hair to the makeup accentuating his bones/facial structure. You don't need a morphing effect to see BOB is in there with him, influencing his appearance, though it's not BOB in control.

Also amazing: How he growls "at your house" - he sounds exactly like Silva's growling voice as BOB. A moment of pure animalism as he invokes what he must have done to Diane, the only thing BOB does.

When Diane tells him "look at me!" it also reminds me of Laura staring into BOB's face and asking over and over "who are you?", right before she got her answer.

Thanks. These interviews are always interesting in seeing how the actors deal with the restrictions and also talk about the atmosphere on set. It usually seems to be a positive experience.

I'm glad that site's coverage isn't just things like "Diane is continuing Twin Peaks' history of Orientalism."

Yeah. It took me a few reads to realize it wasn't something from The Onion. I have a feeling the author just wanted to complain about the yellowface story and dressed up the rest of the article around it. My favorite part was when they said Lynch ripped off Anna May Wong's hair when...about 50 actresses at that time had her hairstyle.

Fun fact: Allegedly, the black figure in the cell in Episode 2 and the one walking in the morgue last week were played by two different actors. This is supposedly confirmed by the actor from Episode 2 on FB, but I'm not 100%.

That's interesting. I wonder if that means two different creatures or just a filming issue.

I take it from your episode 8 tweet it will probably be a Dougie-heavy episode. I know some hate that but I am enjoying it. I figure it's wrapping up soon anyway.

I'm nearly done with the Secret History of Twin Peaks book (I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, especially once it gets going). It's kind of sad that what was likely written at the time as a cute joke (Lana Milford dating Trump) now made me feel anger at having to see him mentioned, even obliquely.

Well, they're not my tweets - one is from TP Archive and the other is from Lynch's right hand producer Sabrina Sutherland (who also appeared as a casino attendant in Parts 3 and 4). I really have no idea what will happen in the episode and I wouldn't assume just yet.

There are rumors about how long the Dougie saga may or may not go on, but I don't know. I think a lot of people are banking on it wrapping here to coincide with the two-week break, but I have my doubts. I know Jim Belushi and Robert Knepper, the Vegas crime boss brothers, are supposed to have substantial roles so I think if things do change they'll simply enter a new phase.

Janice Frame is Evan's mother. Janice & Mac were together. Janice was up to no good. Mitch was helping her. She was slowly, little by little, every day, POISONING Mac. She was almost successful. In St. Croix, Rachel & Janice began what was literally a physical fight. They fell into the resort swimming pool, continuing to fight each other. Somehow, I guess Janice had it on her, there was a knife in play but Rachel kept Janice from stabbing her & got it away from her & they continued to struggle until Rachel stabbed Janice, which was a death blow. Mitch did a 180 & helped Rachel get Mac to the hospital. He was so weakened by the poison he could not even stand unassisted. It took both of them together to walk him to the hospital but it did save his life.  The St. Croix remote was SO beautiful, but so dangerous & scary. Also action-packed. Hooray! Maxim's backSo, I just got home & this is what I found waiting for me. I wrote this several hours ago. I guess I neglected to hit send.
    • Thanks @skylark and @DRW50!
    •     data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw== Earlier I made a long reply but it doesn't exist. Crap.
    • I do not think I have ever agreed with Vee. Normally I do not read him, Ignore ya know. For some unknown reason I clicked to read. And I agree 1000%. Now, this is so odd that I need to go away for a bit.
    • Justine had a lot of hooey in it, but she was an actual woman, not a guy in drag. She was a doppelganger of Rachel, French, having had a past history with Carl, etc. Two of the more outrageous parts-Justine bricking alive Vicky into a wall & Justine grinding the gears driving a big rig.
    • Hehe, twi/x actually x, formerly Twitter. Typically I find 2 sources for "crazy fan rumors" - the wrong parts of FB and x. Oy.
    • Not to hijack the thread, but was that character Justine? I just found this interview online with Logan and see what you're talking about - wow!   http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html
    • My bad….ill fix that  Fixed
    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.
