1984 Daytime Emmy coverage (from Philadelphia AM and ET)

I don't know if these have already been posted, but especially since the Daytime Emmys were not televised in 1984, they are priceless. It is fun to see the stars of yesteryear and the shows they represented. These really were the golden years of soaps.

I love the group shot at the end of the ET clip with Actor and Actress winners Bryggman and Slezak, with their RL spouses. I didn't realize he was still married to Jackie Schultz at that time.

These clips are a great find. Interesting that Entertainment Tonight noted Erika Slezak beat Susan Lucci who had been nominated "5 times". Little did everyone know that Susan Lucci would be nominated a lot more time than that without winning.

Also, little did they know how many times Erika Slezak would defeat Susan Lucci in the Lead Actress race before La Lucci finally snagged the prize in 1999...only 15 years after these videos were made!!!!

I recently stumbled across these and had to watch. Fun stuff! I wonder if there is anything out there for the 1983 Emmys, which also were not televised.

I love how Erika Slezak always seemed like a 40 year old mom for a good 30 years.

I know - she is exactly one week older than my dad, and she's looked the same age for 40 years!!!

As for the 1983 awards, I've looked but so far have found nothing.
