Our lovely Margaret, will she stay sane or will we be able to enjoy her playful ways again? Love that reminder of why we need TS, what a wonderful actress..MarlandRulez thanks for the memories.

Unfortunately, our dear Tari Signor has never been handed a contract. She's been on recurring status ever since she joined the show in 2004, but has appeared in more episodes than some contract players recently have (such as Lindsay, RJ, and Nora). I wish she would have been a final nomination, but she only has a pre-nom.

Speaking of Tari, she's been doing such a great job these past few days. She really makes us see how confused and scared Margaret is!!

Of those 3 you mentioned only RJ & Nora have contracts. Lindsey has not had a contract in a long time. And it looks like RJ will be losing his soon. And I definitely don't expect Nora to have her's much longer either. SHe hasn't even appeared since April.

I think Tari is a great actress but unfortunately her getting a contract on OLTL is not too likely to happen. There are way too many crimes she has to pay for. And she should go away for a long time or be sent to a mental institution.

Higley is going to want to reform Spencer because he is her creation and she will sacrifice Margaret to do so. It would be too much to reform 2 bad guys on the same show at about the same time.

SHe has kept the Margaret character around for one purpose - to further her love for the character of Spencer. Sorry but it is the truth.

Maybe that's the way it is now, but if anything, she should be sacrificing Spencer for Margaret. I think Margaret makes a better villain than him. Plus, when Higley first started the Mags/Todd/Blair stuff, Spencer wasn't even around. Oh, this is an interesting question for you since you don't like either of them. If one character had to be handed a five year contract, which would you choose-- Margaret or Spencer?

It would have to be Margaret who I liked last year. I never have liked Spencer at all. But as I said he is Higley's baby and she is not going to get rid of him. She is too protective of her babies. Notice all the talk of Tess.

I love Tari and I do hope she gets another role on another show. The Margaret character has just done too much and it is time for her to pay and the story to wind down and time to move on to other things. Sorry.

    • This Sarah/Xander Lake Geneva weekend getaway trip will either be where Xander finds out that Sarah knew about the Phillip situation, or an emergency happens that prevents them from going.  Brownie points for the Lake Geneva mention since that's the getaway for a lot of people that live in northern Illinois/Chicago. EJ is kinda hot... though I never thought that about him when the previous actor played him.  I do think a Dimera owning the hospital would be interesting since the Hortons/Brady's have always had a rivalry with the Dimeras... and carrying that over to the hospital would be organic.
    • In the "things you miss while FFing" category---that 'ho Lillian Raines wanted Ed to keep the affair up and sneak around? Flippin' WHAT THE HELL? Mo should've cut the bitch.
    • Absolutely. And I think Eden could play that in a reduced role, or until a recast comes round. I would easily give her a brainy comic love interest in the Spinelli vein regardless of who is playing Joss. I do think Eden works very hard, and can do certain things well. But I would at the least downshift her and then consider writing her out and bringing on someone else. She is not a lead.
    • I am a couple days behind, but is it just me or do some of the glimpses of Martin's nightmare look like a police traffic stop?
    • IIRC, there was fan outcry when viewers realized Donna was going to be killed, although someone more in the know might have a better idea. Donna was always more popular with viewers than she probably should have been, which I credit Stuart for. I do agree she would have been easier to write out than Felicia or Rachel.  Cass and Donna dated briefly during the Malone run (late 1997). http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/cassd.html AW should have invested much more in Quinn than they did. All the pieces were in place for her to, at the very least, have a steady build in importance the way Jessica did on ATWT at that time. AW had moved away from usual patterns by bringing Henrietta and Quinn into the show to diversify the canvas. What always bothers me is the comment an AW person gave to SOD after fan complaints over Quinn's death - essentially, they did not know Quinn had any fans. Says it all.
    • I like that the Martin story hasn't been frequent.  The nightmares are airing only periodically.  Each time, we viewers see more of the accident or whatever happened.  I think we might (or at least I might) be annoyed if we saw the nightmares too often.  At this point, I've become more curious, and so, when it's finally revealed, I think the timing will be just right.
    • Total agreement.  But wasn't AW wonderful with all those servants?  Louise, Brooks, Rocky, Karl (never seen), Beatrice, Helga, Sven, Vivian, etc.  None of the post-Lemay servants ever seemed to resonate, nor did any of them last very long.  I do think BTG would benefit from casting at least one servant for Anita and Vernon.  And perhaps another for Nicole and Ted.  The show needs more have-nots for the different perspective.
    • Interesting, I didn't know the origins of their "friendship." Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Linda Dano or Felicia, but maybe the show would have been better off if they killed off Felicia instead of Quinn and built around her. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't OLTL & ATWT pretty white at that time? Of all the stuff they threw at walls during that time to see what stuck, appealing to Black viewers seemed like a no-brainer. Especially since NBC had success at that time in Primetime with The Cosby Show & 227. Even in the mornings with Bryant Gumbel on Today. Of course, didn't have to be an either/or. I didn't mean to convey that Donna's isolation was the reason. Rachel, Felicia & Donna were all rich, 50ish brunettes whose characters started bleeding together by that point. Granted, mostly due to the bad writing of the writers she hired. Of the 3, getting rid of Donna would have been by far the easiest as VW had the most longevity/caused the biggest uproar; and Dano was the face of the show to the industry (and her favorite of the bunch). Thanks for the info of the alcoholism story. It was right before I started watching so I've only seen the clips of the intervention. Don't remember Cass & Donna at all. Was it last year of the show before he got with Lila? I was mostly checked out at that point.
