It was a notoriously troubled production for a long time, but the final film - while not exactly anything more than passable and fitfully good - is still more interesting than the more-faithful earlier drafts I read from J. Michael Straczynski and company a while ago, and I had already read the book several years ago. But many of the choices they made to drastically change the structure of the story for film adaptation were, IMO, right. It's just that the film has no real characters, several utterly pointless subplots, and a boring - and complicated BTS - third act. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
