World War Z

Good movie, but the last 45 minutes were really a high end eppy of The Walking Dead.

Brad just felt so out of place for this one. I am still scratching my head. Didn't need an A-lister, especially this A-lister.

World War Z, and its many iterations. This is pretty much the whole gory BTS story.

It was a notoriously troubled production for a long time, but the final film - while not exactly anything more than passable and fitfully good - is still more interesting than the more-faithful earlier drafts I read from J. Michael Straczynski and company a while ago, and I had already read the book several years ago. But many of the choices they made to drastically change the structure of the story for film adaptation were, IMO, right. It's just that the film has no real characters, several utterly pointless subplots, and a boring - and complicated BTS - third act.
