ALISON SWEENEY MAKES "DAYS" HISTORY THIS MONTH...CLINCHES TOP SPOT FOR MAY...FIRST FEMALE TO LEAD MONTHLY RANKINGS 39 TIMES IN "DAYS" HISTORY:

Alison Sweeney (Sami) has clinched the top spot in the May 2013 episode rankings. This is her 39th time as the monthly episode leader, moving her past Kristian Alfonso (Hope) and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie), who each led the rankings 38 times during their "Days" careers. Sweeney becomes the first female to ever lead the monthly rankings 39 times. She is now in 4th place all-time, behind Peter Reckell (Bo, 46 times), Macdonald Carey (Tom, 44 times) and Drake Hogestyn (John, 41 times).

Here are Ali's 39 months in the top spot:

2/95, 8/95, 6/96, 9/96, 8/97, 5/98, 6/98, 7/98, 8/98, 12/98, 9/99, 2/01, 3/02, 8/02, 8/03, 12/03, 11/04, 5/05, 8/05, 9/05, 12/05, 3/06, 6/06, 7/06, 8/06, 4/07, 5/07, 8/07, 10/07, 11/07, 12/07, 10/08, 8/10, 3/12, 9/12, 10/12, 1/13, 2/13, 5/13.

TFP as usual Jason.

Despite AS being in so many episodes, she really hasn't domiated them. I feel conflicted saying I don't mind, but it speaks to the balance within epsiodes which the writers have achieved. Plus they have managed to make Sami non-annoying for me which is a feat in itself - kudos to the writers then!
