I think some fans feel that Carly ruins Todd.

I like Carly since she's been with Todd, he makes her likeable. I like RC's version of Carly better, she's better written overall and LW has toned down the smugness

I'll be frank - would I have been thrilled if my Todd had decided to date another woman in the interim? No, but I wouldn't have found it as skin-crawlingly disgusting as I do with the concept of having him paired up with that irredeemably ratchet bitch.
