I was just thinking the same thing - I picture a tutorial with Agnes Nixon being walked through how to sign up on Hulu, Hulu Plus and Itunes.

I don't like calling people stupid, but dear God, it isn't that hard to understand the difference between Hulu and Hulu Plus.

I signed up for Hulu first on the computer. One of the television sets in the house has Hulu Plus as an option. I simply answered that I wasn't yet a Hulu Plus subscriber, and it gave me a referral code, and after entering cc# and code, it automatically linked up the accounts. I downloaded the app on my smart phone, and sure enough, all I had to do was log into the account, and it all lined up.

I signed up for Itunes, which requires a CC# as well, but it doesn't charge unless you purchase. Just in case I want to keep any episodes!

Cool. So mayyybe I'll do that, but I don't mind sitting in the computer chair or lying in bed with the laptop. I guess we'll see. Point is, I'll be watching.

My grandparents are in their eighties and they are great with the computer. My grandma's on Facebook more than I am. If you have older relatives who would like to watch and at least have email accounts, send them direct links the episodes. Even sign them up and just send them their log-in info to help them out.

I'm DYING at the thought of a group of mimes rolling out the back of a truck on Marge's lawn, silently showing her how to hook up a computer to a TV and log into Hulu.

Seriously, though. I've been watching stuff on Hulu for years now and have never created any kind of account. I actually think some of these folks might be interested in some of the other older programming that's available on the site. I basically spent the summer after high school in bed with Kojak and The Fall Guy streaming on my laptop.

The only adjustment I *might* make is finally getting an HDMI cord. I'm definitely down with watching on my laptop, and I'll most likely do that 95% of the time, but I've always meant to get an HDMI. I kinda miss illegally downloading torrents of Peyton Place and Coronation Street, saving them to my jump drive, and plugging them into my kid nephew's Xbox when no one was home.

I just got rid of my Smartphone, it wasn't worth the money for someone like me who isn't a phone person. But if I was taking the bus or train to New York for example, I could see myself buying the week's worth of episodes to watch for the ride.

I can understand the frustration about the comments on the Facebook page, but we have to remember, this is the audience. It's this mass audience that will ultimately make or break the new shows.

We need to be patient and help people understand how to watch. This is a big leap and most of the 500,000 people on the Facebook page are not super connected soap fans like we are.

Also, I understand why they wouldn't want to pay $7.99/month if they don't have real computers (as opposed to an iPad or phone). It's a tough economy. There are people here, who also posted that they wouldn't pay to watch. We need to get the word out though that if they do have a computer, Hulu is free. I'm shocked that there still appear to be that many people who only have Internet access through their phones or iPad so would have to watch through Hulu Plus.
