I wasn't a huge fan of Mona (or anything on WTB), although I enjoyed KH's work. I just loved her work as Jessica because she played a ditz but she never let Jessica be pathetic. She could always break your heart, and she could be tough when they wanted her to be.

To me, Jessica was like Rose on THE GOLDEN GIRLS (that is, before later writing staffs took over the latter show and turned Rose into an outright simpleton): she wasn't so much "ditzy" as she was less cynical or jaded as the rest of us. But you're right: Jessica had an enormous heart, especially for her children; and if you ever backed her or her kids into a corner.....!

From what company does Antenna get their catalogue?

Antenna's shows tend to come from either Universal or Screen Gems/Sony.

I wonder how the series was supposed to end? Anyone know??

I can't remember where I read this, or when, but we were supposed to have learned that Chester had switched the firing squad's bullets with blanks at the last minute, thus sparing Jessica's life; and that Jessica would have eventually become leader of that third-world country with El Puerco.

What they did with Rose in the later years made me tune out of GG reruns for quite a while. The writing became very mean.

You always felt Jessica's pain (which is the essence of a soap character). I'm glad that her Benson appearance kept that going.
