I posted that in the GH thread, I wasn't sure if I should start a thread. But hopefully more people read this cause she seems like she's got a good head on her shoulders.

yes she does, she seems to actually like soaps and doesn't sneer at them like Frons.

I doubt they'll ever do anything with AMC or OLTL, they should let soap classics release some DVDs

I still say, if ABC were smart they'd use AMC and OLTL for either a primetime spin-off or a tv movie or special. Last season I recall ABC saying it wanted low cost series that could air on friday nights. A cheap OLTL spin-off could easily air on Friday night and be paired with the sitcoms they're launching. I'm not sure why nobody seems to be thinking of this.

I don't think people would watch a spin off unless it was characters like Bo and Nora or Todd and Blair. they want characters they know. Our luck it'd be a spin off of Rex and Gigi or something

The easiest spin-off would've been one centered around Erika Kane and her daughters. I could see ABC developing that and it being successful and maybe even working on a non-friday night.

I think a "mini-series" for summer or something would be a beautiful way to wrap AMC and OLTL properly. More AMC than OLTL but then I'd want a more integrated GH with OLTL, using BOTH shows' histories and characters effectively.

The perfect thing would be to do little miniseries of both and launch them the week after the formal end of the season (i.e. around Memorial Day). It would be perfect to promote during the May sweeps and it wouldn't be too far into the summer to get into.
