Let's just be real for a second here. Some are a bit sensitive when their fave is on the hotseat but have no problem relentlessly ridiculing/bashing Laura Wright, Kelly Sullivan, Kelly Monaco, etc. So I have to find it suspect when all of a sudden we have a problem here. GMAFB! We wouldn't need an alternate thread if some of you weren't so damn mean and condescending to others. I don't agree with 98.567433% of the things VH have written, but I have not disrespected that poster yet, and I can't imagine I ever will. This kind of just proves me point...This thread was designed as a place for us to get AWAY from the arguing, OLTL discussion, etc. But the nastiness has just moved into this thread...

That was the entire point... To not clutter up the daily thread with aggression about other things not currently related to the daily episodes and current storylines of the show.

Yeah I guess I misunderstood. I thought that we were establishing THIS thread to talk about the day to day show, and leaving the other thread to be filled with the arguments, etc.

If it gives someone peace, absolutely! Honestly, I've never used it on any board. I've learned to exercise self control as I realized the people on my screen are not real, and I'm not personally responsible for any of the actors so I need not defend them til it hurts.

I disagree. This thread will become whatever the posters decide we want it to be.

I got very tired of being told I couldn't talk about the OL actors/characters and the OL HW/EP on the other GH thread and I talked to other posters who felt the same way. That's why I'm here. I wanted a thread that isn't going to be censored or controlled by posters who feel that only their own opinion is valid. They are welcome to the other thread.

SoapBoy, this is what I said early on. I'm not real big on controlling what people talk about. I'm all for us sitting around, cracking a few bottles of JD and taking the pig out of the pit where it's been roasting overnight. If you want to crack on the OL Bozos, be my guest. No sacred cows here, not even LW or TG no matter who worships them.

Mostly I wanted to get away from any thread where we had to bow and scrape to anyone, Cartooni in particular. I got tired of being told I had to worship the ground the buffoons walked on.

All I ask is keep it civil and no name-calling. Don't call out other posters for having an opinion. Keep the trolling to a minimum. Marquis of Queensbury rules.
