Members YRBB
New album, Havoc and Bright Lights, has been announced! To be released August 28! The first single, Guardian, will be released on iTunes May 15, with the radios getting it four days ahead of that. Here's a recent interview: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/q-a-alanis-morissette-on-her-new-lp-kinship-with-leonardo-dicaprio-20120502 So freaking excited! Members Y&RWorldTurner
I will always have some weird type of soft spot for her, but really, I haven't heard anything I've really enjoyed from her since Supposed Former Infatuated Junkie.
Members YRBB
That's interesting because I absolutely adore Under Rug Swept and enjoy So Called Chaos as well... It wasn't until Flavors of Entanglement that I was a bit (maybe a lot) disappointed, although there were some stand-outs there as well. I just hope she goes back to her usual type of music. Maybe she should work with Ballard again (unless there was so backstage thing that happened)
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Ballard refined her music, which is probably what she really needs and hasn't had for a while - direction. I thought her albums since Supposed Former Infatuated Junkie were uneven and heavily retreads at best. It's like she's tried but never quite managed to successfully blend the spirituality of Junkie with the raw honesty of Jagged Little Pill.
Members MissLlanviewPA
She's got a new album coming out? Cool! I've always loved her, although I haven't really heard much of her music since "Hands Clean"--which was ten years ago (and I was 13). "Thank U" is a favorite of mine. Members YRBB
I can definitely agree with that but I think the other three still stand pretty well on their own. Members YRBB
I absolutely love the intro and the melodic quality of it... although I was initially somewhat disappointed by the chorus. It kinda stuck to my head, though!
Members Ann_SS
I had no idea that Alanis had a new album and I actually like this new song. I am a huge fan. I saw her in person in this small club in DC and her voice is even more amazing in person.
Members Huntress
"Guardian" entered the German Top100 at #15 last week. This is her best-charting single here since 1998 when "Ironic" peaked at #8. Coincidentally, the official video was also filmed in Germany <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7q0reAgBMYA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Members YRBB
19 years since Jagged Little Pill. Funny how it was reviewed as average at best & yet turned out to be an absolute classic. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6274250/alanis-morissette-jagged-little-pill-19-years?facebook_20141007 I'm off to listen to it for the 10,000th time. I hope I'll get to see her live again soon.

Members cct
One of the things I love about Alanis is her ability to not take herself too seriously.
