NBC: Guys With Kids

The Jimmy Fallon multi-camera project, written by Charlie Grandy, revolves around three thirtysomething guys who enjoy the adventures of parenting despite the fact they haven’t grown up themselves. Fallon, Grandy and Amy Ozols are executive producing. This marks the first pilot for Fallon’s company Holiday Road.

This one sounds cool, but sadly sci-fi shows rarely thrive on network tv. This would probably be more successful in cable.

This sort of sounds like a "Golden Girls" esc comedy. I'd like to see this see the light of day.

I'd love to the westerns return to network tv, there hasn't been one arguably since Dr. Quinn and this one sounds good, but for some reason, I think Westerns are more suited for CBS, than NBC.

May not be the most creative, but I dig it.

So is this sort of like a Female version of Big Bang Theory? If this gets picked up, I can see this getting the post Big Bang Slot.

NBC: Daddy's Girl

The multi-camera Daddy’s Girl, from 20th Century Fox TV and Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, is about a young woman who returns home from overseas to find her father is seriously dating the “mean girl” from her high school. The spec was recently taken out, garnering strong interest by NBC and CBS, with NBC stepping up with a pilot order. Klein and Kaplan are executive producing.

Stephen Falk’s Next Caller Please, from Lionsgate TV, is a single-camera gender comedy focusing on a brash alpha male DJ and his new, plucky, feminist co-host set in the offices of a satellite radio station.

NBC: Untitled Hilary Winston comedy

The Hilary Winston single-camera project, from Sony TV and Jamie Tarses’ Fanfare, centers on a shy, focused woman who, after being dumped by her fiance, leans on her co-workers to help her come out of her shell and plot her revenge. Winston is executive producing with Tarses and Julia Franz.

NBC: Downwardly Mobile

Co-created by [Roseanne] Barr, her boyfriend John Argent and former Roseanne executive producer Eric Gilliland, who will serve as showrunner, themulti-cameraDownwardly Mobile stars Barr as the proprietor of a mobile home park and surrogate mother to all of the unique people who live there in a challenging economy. Barr and Gilliland wrote the script and are executive producing with Argent.

NBC: Go On

The single-camera Go On, written and executive produced by Scott Silveri, centers on an irreverent yet charming sportscaster who tries to move on from loss and reluctantly finds surprising solace from the members of his mandatory group therapy sessions.

NBC: Animal Pradctice (previously Animal Kingdom)

Animal Kingdom, also single-camera, is an office comedy centered on a House-like veterinarian who loves animals but usually hates their owners. Brian Gatewood and Alex Tanaka wrote the script and are executive producing with American Work’s Scot Armstrong and Ravi Nandan.

NBC: Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire, a firefighter drama from feature writers Michael Brandt & Derek Haas (3:10 to Yuma) and Dick Wolf Films. Chicago Fire, which NBC announced at its summer TCA presentation, is an action-driven drama exploring the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department. The project, which had been garnering a lot of buzz, is executive prodced by Brandt, Haas, Wolf, his new development exec Danielle Gelber and Peter Jankowski.

County, a medical drama from Parenthood and Friday Night Lights exec producer Jason Katims starring Parenthood recurring player and The Event alum Jason Ritter. County takes us into the lives of a group of young doctors, nurses, and administrators, in a frenetic underfunded and morally compromising LA County Hospital.

FOX: It's Messy

Kaling wrote the single-camera comedy, in which she stars as a young Bridget Jones-type Ob/Gyn doctor balancing personal and professional life, surrounded by quirky co-workers in a small office. The project, which she executive produces with Howard Klein, has a personal element — Kaling herself is the daughter of an ob/gyn mother and an architect father. If the project goes to series, Kaling won’t be able to return to The Office next season.

FOX: Mob Doctor

Michael Dinner has come on board to direct the Josh Berman/Rob Wright medical drama pilot, about a female doctor working for the mob in Chicago. Sony Pictures TV is producing, with Berman, Wright and Dinner exec producing.

FOX: El Jefe

Additionally, the network has picked up to pilot the half-hour El Jefe from comedy veterans Moses Port and David Guarascio (Aliens In America). Port & Guarascio’s El Jefe (aka The Boss), also from Sony TV, is about an upper-middle class 30-year-old guy who finally gets booted out of his dad and step-mom’s house and moves in with his cleaning woman’s family since he had nowhere else to go.

CBS: Untitled Louis CK/Spike Feresten comedy

CBS’s has greenlighted to pilot an untitled multi-camera comedy written by Louis CK and Spike Feresten, an ensemble of young people trying to achieve their creative dreams in these tough financial times. The pickup caps a remarkable comeback for the project 13 years ago after it was first written. At the time, Louie was a standup comedian and Feresten was a writer on Seinfeld.
