How would MMT be a good fit at Days? She's just another version of Hackley, and that's the LAST thing Days needs, they're STILL trying to recover from the damage Hackely did.

Aside from the Sami overload, was there any story Higley did which negatively affects the canvas now and couldn't have been resolved? They have little interest in backburnering Daniel or Melanie, so that didn't seem to be down to Higley.

I think McTavish is a better writer than Higley, especially when she has the right help.

She's a MUCH better writer than Higley who I think is one of the all time worst. Evern when McTavish is in her horrible modes she at least keeps story momentum going whereas Higley often is just deathly dull.

I think Megan McTavish is a good writer when she has the correct executive producer and lake of network interference. When she was headwriter at AMC in the 90's, she had a good executive producer and a network head the knew that you had to let the shows decide how to do things. Her last stint at AMC for me was more of network interference from Brian Scott Frons and him wanting to run each of his shows over those who were in charge. Megan can be a good writer with the correct people to help her keep the stories in check and not to make the auidence hate them.
