I don't think that's what the article meant. When reading it I took away that NBC wanted to add someone white that there regular audience can identify with rather than have him and a bunch of hip-hop artist perform on their network. There is nobody white on any of the songs on the "Unpredictable" album and since that's what they signed on to promote why should he be forced to stray from the regular guest that are on his album and add someone white because they are more audience friendly?

That's what I got out of it too. NBC likely wanted Foxx to add white performers to the show in order to make it more palatable to a white audience. I don't blame Foxx for standing his ground. Adding token white perfomers would not only be insulting to the black guests but to the white guests as well.

I do think Jamie Foxx is overrated, but I don't hate him. I just change the channel when I see him.

I agree Mitchapalooza, Foxx was really good at imitating Ray, but didn't delve much deeper than that. I also preferred Phoenix. 'Unpedictable' is just more typical, boring R&B fare...without Foxx backing it, I really don't think it would have done much on the Charts.

Jamie Foxx is pretty cool usually, but for me, it all started goin' downhill with that Oprah episode. He's over-saturated...but it isn't the first time it has happened to a celebrity after they've had a breakthrough role.

Add me to the list of haters. I used to like him, but he's overrated, didn't deserve that Oscar and is just plain annoying.

I used to love Jamie Foxx when he was on In Living Color, and also enjoy him in most of his movies, but I'm getting tired of seeing Jamie Foxx on EVERY entertainment show, 24/7.

Take a break dude!

I've never liked him. I think fame has gone to his head since he won the Oscar. Sadly, though, there are a lot of other actors and actresses who have done the same. :(

Jamie Foxx is HUGELY overrated.

You won the Oscar almost a year ago, get over it and do another movie. Stop leeching off Ray Charles and do something original.
