He's always been this way. They've had him around for years and he's never had a lot of viewer interest. I have to wonder if Maks said the only way he'd come back is if they made Val a pro.

So were the judges really annoying tonight? I now skip everything they say. Sometimes I wonder if I miss anything of value.

He's been around for quite a while. Not as one of the pros, but he's danced in the results show dances, and I think he may have been in the "pick a pro" competition that the boring tall blonde woman won a few years ago.
