Wendy Moniz finally returns to Daytime! She rocked it as Dinah on GL

The early exit of Robin Strasser from ONE LIFE TO LIVE means that Llanview will be in need of a new mayor when Dorian leaves town... so the soap has cast GUIDING LIGHT alumna Wendy Moniz (Dinah) in the recurring role of Mayor Finn.

Since exiting GL in 1999, Moniz has had recurring roles on primetime series such as DAMAGES, NASH BRIDGES, BIG SHOTS and THE GUARDIAN. Look for the actress -- who is married to fellow GL alum Frank Grillo (Hart) -- to make her OLTL debut in September.

She was good when Dinah was a bitch, but the rest of the time she struggled, to put it kindly, and was a big factor in the show's huge ratings woes in mid/late 1996.

Is she supposed to be involved with John?

Yes, Antoyne. Way back before we even knew what an Alicia Minshew was, I thought Wendy would make for a great Kendall.

Oh man! This is like a Sharon Gabet as Melinda thing, ships passing in the night, Wendy and Robin would have been great longterm scene partners! She has that dark, Cramer woman look, before it got all bleached out again. In a different time and place, Wendy could have been a Blair, a Cassie, or a Kelly.
