Why are we still focused on blaming Oprah. That ship has sailed.

With very few exceptions like the Hollywood Reporter ad, the SOS movement has been completely negative. From Day 1 it has been about punishing the enemy instead of supporting the shows and SOS considers Oprah the enemy. Just like the people being employed by these new shows are the enemy. No fan campaign has ever been successful by going negative but unfortunately there's very few ways to support these shows positively. With primetime/cable shows you can buy and distribute DVDs to help introduce new people to the show. (This was a BIG part of the save FNL campaign.) But soaps have no way to tune in new viewers so instead of showing how much appeal these shows could have, all that's left is to show what a bad idea it is to piss the current viewers off.

Sending in a coupon that was originally printed in The Globe... and they wonder why soap fans have a hillbilly trash reputation? Good luck with that.
