Hi guys,

Some of you might remember last year a very kind anonymous person sent me a lot of rare Y&R for the Vault. This year the person went through the Vault and sent me a lot of the missing B&B episodes on DVD! I'm slowly getting them into the Vault. Some of these have the World of Soap Themes (WOST) logo on them which is a treat for me as I wasn't around for the original site and luckily this person saved some of those episodes.

This is what I've added so far. More to come.

1993-05-14
1993-03-30 - Lauren & Sheila Dinner Party
1993-03-31
1995-03-20 #1998 - The episode after the Jacuzzi fight!
1995-03-22 #1999
1996-04-10
1998-06-19
2000-07-10 Macy's accident aftermath

Oh, I hadn't realized that. Has anyone with videoland watched the episode to make sure it's exactly the same as 10play's version, since 10play is known to edit out violence? It's great having it without subtitles though, and in such nice quality!

Thanks for the help! It is the episode from 10 June 1999.....and it is in the vault! Although my version comes from the British channel Channel 5 too! And I have a complete version and the final credits! If anyone is interested, I have just uploaded it

Watching these last 100 episodes... Well. Sheila made the show... she completely changed it, the vibe shifted. I just love it. So much suspense. I would say up untill episodes 1300... the show was ... 8 out of 10... and after Sheila came it's instantly 10 out of 10... with the exception of horrible Lance Davis as Ridge.

10play is always uncut. With 1384, VL removed the sponsor tag immediately after the opening credits (at the 6min 20 sec mark).

As a side note, VL trim down the ad break fade outs, usually a loss of about 2 seconds at the point of each break. The ‘CBS StereoSound’ caption is also removed from the beginning of each episode. Occasionally you can hear the tail-end of the sting at the beginning of some episodes. None of this is a big deal of course, just my observations

    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
