June 9, 201114 yr Member South African Model Cast On B&B! Terry Pheto -- a South African actress and model -- has been cast on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL. "Apparently, we're the last to know about these things here at B&B," tweets Adam Gregory (Thomas). "Haha. Welcome to B&B Terry Pheto!" According to this blogger from Pheto's hometown, the actress will be playing a South African heart surgeon, sharing screen time with Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Ronn Moss (Ridge) and Hunter Tylo (Taylor). The South African TV Authority reports that Pheto will begin taping on Monday, June 13... but her scenes won't even hit the screens in her country until 2012! B&B is an extremely popular soap in South Africa, and Pheto is a bit of a superstar in her native country. Not only has she appeared on numerous magazine covers, but she's a former face of L'Oreal Paris and was the leading lady in the 2006 Oscar-winning best foreign language film, Tsotsi. "This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I look forward to sharing the screen with my soapie heroes Katherine Kelly Lang and Susan Flannery, while sinking my thespian teeth into a challenging role," Pheto told South African reporters earlier this week. After news of her B&B casting was announced in her country, Pheto was bombarded on Twitter with congratulatory messages. "Thanks for the love and support. Much appreciated," she tweeted. "These are exciting times." A spokesperson for B&B could not confirm Pheto's casting at this time. http://cbs.soapsindepth.com/
