Decided to start this thread after seeing today is Escapay's birthday.

Whatever happened to him?

I know it seems weird to reply to this, but I've been googling my name with several old messageboards I used to frequent, including SON, to see if there are any accounts that I had which would be worth revisiting. Ended up finding this thread in the process.

I'm alive and well, but it's been so long since I've been active in the online soap community. I know I joined SoapBlather before that forum got hacked, and SoapBlather2 before that forum shut down. And I signed up at Daytime Royalty, but rarely ever visited. Still, it's nice having this (rarely-used) account, although I miss the SON I knew from 2003 to 2005. I wish I knew what's happened to members like Plushiegrl, noahdrake4ever, General Mobspital, HeedtheMessenger, Curiosity Kills, Dave Smith, etc.

HeedtheMessenger was here until a year or two ago, I think.

Which soaps did you enjoy?

During my soap-viewing years, I'd keep tabs on all of them. Thinking about it now, my favorites were "Guiding Light" and "All My Children." I missed the last episode of "Guiding Light" since it was on at 10am in my area, but have since watched it online. I did catch the final episodes for "All My Children" and "As the World Turns," though.

My favorites for a long time were GL and ATWT, then I moved over more to some of the ABC soaps, and AW. I did go back to ATWT and GL for their final years. There was a pretty active community here at those times - you might enjoy some of the AMC threads from AMC's last few years. There was one every Friday which had photos of all the women and gave them various "ho" names - it's a lot funnier than it sounds.

Escapay, I also enjoyed David Evan Smith's post. RangeThatRover was another favorite, and yet it seems like his/her spirit lives on in other posters.

Nice to see you around again Escapay. DES is on Facebook. I meant to add him as a friend but forgot to. GMOB as we use to call him is also on Facebook and I think Juniorz has him as a friend on FB.

How about a poster named "Terry", I don't think that was his screen name but he was a basically a troll and would always get banned. I only remembered him because I saw some comments he made on Amazon about the Soap Classics DVD's.

Oh man Terry had so many different names here I think his first DOOLFan4life, and then I think he had one that was Chelsea and Stephanie from days but I don't remember. He is I think on every board and is still giving out fake spoilers.

Yes there were definate times that I wondered if he was messaging from a hospital because he sure wasn't all there. I remember one thread where he had gotten so upset because they were talking about Stephanie and max as a couple and he went crazy saying something like if he couldn't have her then no one could. He was also OBSESSED with One Tree Hill.

I miss GMOB board...Jenn was there and we use to chat about her love life and her becoming a teacher. Once the board closed I lost contact with her.
