FremantleMedia's Croatian unit RTL Television is producing a new drama for a local broadcaster; RTL Croatia has commissioned The Clan (working title), a drama that tells the story of two families united against a relationship between a pair of young lovers, it was announced today. The new show will debut this fall.

Other countries find soaps still viable, yet America finds them worthless. *sigh* I wish I lived in Another World right now.

This is actually Croatian's second soap opera. The first one was "Forbidden Love" (2004.-2008.). Telenovela formats are much more popular, so basically our telenovelas have from 170-200 episodes. The only exception is "The Best Years" (2009.-2011.) which ran for 3 years and had about 350 episodes.

I like it too. :blink: I loved "Pod sretnom zvijezdom", by far my favourite Croatian telenovela.

It had potential to be a great telenovela, but now it will just be remembered as the 'unfinished' one, and I don't like those at all. Stupid network. -_-

I hope Wind Rose manages to stay interesting and not have half the stories and actors removed during the first year or two like Forbidden Love has.
