I agree. Kover was my favorite of all the adult versions of Chris. Most of the later Chris's seemed like casting experiments.

It didnt help that one of them looked a bit too porny underwear models..no Hughes should look like the could "dance in cages."

Was Korver let go or did he quit the show ?

I think he was let go.

Daniel Cosgrove was alright but I probably liked Korver the most too. He had good chemistry with older women, which should have kept going to give Bob and Kim headaches. The issue was the awful and weird Abigail/Chris pairing which just made him seem too old.

Thanks for the info. It appears he left acting around 2004 and operates a film business.

I was excited when Ben Jorgenson was cast as Chris Hughes in 1999. Chris was SORASed and was now college-aged. Jorgenson was a strong actor with soap creds and his arrival promised that a significant story was in the making which would bring Bob and Kim back to front-burner status. But both Chris and Ben fizzled (I don't know why) and he was gone within the year. I remember being very disappointed with (as usual) the writing.

I thought he was so good on AMC. For one thing they made Chris a bad boy, which didn't suit actor or character. And something just didn't click. I remember after Ben was let go, he said that Kathryn Hays or Don Hastings had suggested he get speech lessons.

That whole teen scene was a bust.

I saw some photos of him and his family in Google search. Korver now usually wears a beard and longer hair.

After Korver was let go from ATWT, Y&R should have picked him up to play Chuck Foster or Brooks Prentiss.

Which is so stupid..they kept her and let a Hughes go? He and Molly were sexy together, and while he was a good natured guy, it was nice to have a Hughes was wants totally straight and narrow.

I read that, he talked about it but said that they were both being supportive and helpful. He did have a big New York accent thing going on..reminded me of that annoying kid who played Ben on GL. Ugh, I just looked him up and he died by suicide..how sad.

IIRC, TPTB blamed Korver for the Chris/Abigail pairing not sparking and suggested he didn't share ANY chemistry with ANY female on the show. That's why they let him go.
