Your dislike for Hope knows no bounds. I like that. biggrin.gif Perhaps they can find Larry someplace, or keep Baker on speed-dial.

As for Maggie - yes she can forgive him a lot BUT I think it would be a barrier for a romantic relationship if he wilfully buried someone alive at this stage in the game, even if it's in the name of saving her. The fact that she knows he has been a bad guy in the past is one thing, but that she's got feelings for someone who could be that cruel and vindictive now is something else. Perhaps it's a fine line, but it's a line nonetheless.

Either way I'm waiting to see it play out. So far they've kept Maggie and Victor totally in character - even if some newer viewers don't understand that Maggie is feisty and did have a love life outside of Mickey once upon a time. With Magic being the endgame in this (hate the term, but it's an understood metaphor) however they do it Maggie and Victor will be closer and stronger for all of Vivian's machinations.

Louise Sorells contracts up in a month and we havent heard anything if she`s staying for another year. i really do not like Maggie with Victor, it should be Kate/Victor/Vivian or Victor and Caroline not MAGGIE HORTON...she should have hooked up with that Bill Horton guy. Vivian needs to stay. and bring back her friends Celeste and Ivan im tired of people hating vivian when she left people liked her.

Nah.... Viv can go, she's become little more than a caricature. They are not going to have her win any so what's the point? She worked in the 90's when all the other players were doing their thing. Today it's just not as good.

If they want to create a real emotional tug-of-war for the vet-set, Bill Horton is the one to do it. The Maggie connection is there (promised Mickey to look after her plus years caring about the same family) and then there's Kate - a lot of unresolved tension when he was here for Alice's funeral. How can either Stefano or Victor complete with a "good" guy who's got his own share of demons? He can do for that crew what Vivian will never be able to do, regardless of her connections

I agree, Vivian was liked by many people and she redeemed herself before she left the first time as did carly, but that has a lot to do with the writing. Dena didn't look into the characters throughly. As for Bill and Maggie, I see chemistry there but Suzanne Rogers wouldn't go for Maggie dating Mickey's Brother.

I would love for Bill to return to play into Stefano and Kate's orbit and mix it up with Stefano about his involvement with Will and consult with Roman and Sami on the issue as well as play into Victor and Maggie orbit and keep an eye on Maggie and make sure Victor doesn't hurt her, but not as her love interest.

One of the reasons people in Salem liked Vivian when she left is she hadn't had any storyline for several years, aside from being Stefano's victim. I think it was natural that if she returned the characters wouldn't feel the same way about her once they knew what she was up to.

I do think there are still stories to tell with Vivian but the show may not want to make the effort. I think they should have kept Lawrence alive.

Guest dc cubs

Louise Sorel is listed among the Days stars that will be in attendance at the Day of Days event on November 6th. Almost the whole cast will be in attendance. I think its a good sign that Louise is going as it could mean she has already signed a new contract. Of course there is still a chance her contract might not be renewed and then she would be dropped from the Day of Days event as it only features current cast members.

    • It's so jarring seeing the changeover from Sherry Mathis to Louan Gideon.  The vibe, mannerisms, and overall personality of Liza changes instantly. The chemistry Sherry has with both David F and Joe Lambie is gone the second the recast happens.  I wonder how viewers took the news of the recast since you didn't have time in between airings before the change happened. Quinn/Sarah... One overacts (Quinn) and one under acts (Sarah). Wendy of 1985 is a good mix of the 1982 sweet Wendy and the 1983/84 vixenish Wendy.
    • Oups!! I guess when i was doing the editing, i left a part of 3169, too (RTL Lounge airs 2 episodes per day back to back). Sorry about that ! Tonight i ll try to record 3171-3172. If i m not mistaken 3172 is missing from YouTube.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
