Originally they were, but then new writers came in & made them Roman & Kate's. Don't ask me how or why because it's too stupid to remember.

It turned out that Marlena had been implanted with the embryos made from Roman's sperm and Kate's eggs, so Marlena still gave birth to the twins but they were actually Roman and Kate's children. Tony on the other hand was cut right out of the equation! lol
