I saw the LuAnn interview yesterday and agree that Wendy was salty to her but LuAnn held her head high. The Dorinda remark was goofy, and clearly the audience and LuAnn did not agree. What you're saying makes sense, that Bethenny and co. put a bug in Wendy's ear, as she would surely nominate Carole as the first housewife to be booted due to being boring.

I don't think she's influential anymore. I happened to catch it randomly cuz I saw The Countess would be on it. Wendy often has various Housewives though from all the cities, yes? I guess they figure they target the same audience. The only other talk show host who always had Housewives was... Bethenny B)

Nope. After that ignorant comment about HBCUs, no one cares for Wendy anymore. Wendy is a clown who practices straight c**nery.

Speaking of Wendy, she had the nerve to say this today about Kenya/Sheree:

This is why I can't watch Wendy anymore. She's too stupid for my taste, but I am not surprised. This is the same big-foot, slue-foot, butch looking, Harry (of Harry and the Hendersons), yeti faced, abominable snow slut looking bitch that didn't know the purpose of HBCUs.

That aside, manly-faced Wendy, Kenya is a grown ass woman with good credit. She OWNS her own house. She ain't got the IRS on her ass. Sheree, on the other hand, is a grown ass woman who has obliterated her credit by mismanagement and living stupidly Sheree's mother putting her name on the house isn't out of love. It's out of stupidity and an utter hinderance. She's further perpetuating Sheree's delusions of grandeur that living beyond your means is OK. That's why Sheree will always be a flop and the butt of every joke.

Well, they haven't even got to Maui yet and already drama is happening. Not HW-provoked though. Kandi & Todd get kicked off their Honolulu-Maui flight for no clear reason!

Looks like Delta really over-reacted about absolutely nothing at all and that K&T will be on a later flight? I can't believe they picked Kandi of all people. She is so chill and not a raised-voice person generally. I believe her side of the story when she says she asked politely and made no fuss.

She should, actually. All she wanted was some assurance that if the checked-in baggage got lost, the airline would be able to track them down quickly and get them to her -- that's what the baggage stub promises, essentially. It's a tracking number. They could have told her "We will fax/email that stub through to Maui and somebody at Delta will meet you at the gate with it when you land." So many simple solutions to this! Instead, I suspect (and I am only speculating) the flight attendants on the plane were like "Black lady/Real Housewife getting uppity!" and the pilot was like "F*ck that sh*t" and thought that kicking them off would make him look no-nonsense. The flight crew blew the issue up when there was no issue to be had!

What happened? Should I go see on her YT channel? Is it the latest?

ETA: OK I got it. What a b!tch.

WW: "Kenya, dear, I love you. But the reason maybe that Sheree's mom was able to be put on the mortgages is cuz Sheree's mom loves her and opens the door when she comes over to her house."

What a nasty remark. What a low blow.  I think I heard a few boos after WW said that.

I got it now.

"Kenya, dear, I love you. But the reason maybe that Sheree's mom was able to be put on the mortgages is cuz Sheree's mom loves her and opens the door when she comes over to her house."

I can't believe something like Kenya being neglected by her mom is used as something to attack KENYA with! What kind of playground mean-girl bitchery is that??

This is really making me consider not watching her show anymore. I used to enjoy it on her YT channel but that was so unnecessary.

Please do, Cheap. And I will follow your lead and not give her YT channel any of my views. It was offensive, cruel and spiteful. How is it the fault of any child when a parent decides to not be a part of their life growing up?! Kenya has always carried pain about her mother's attitude towards her. That comment was designed to really wound her.

    • I tried following the news in Los Angeles at https://laist.com (independent public radio and news) They had up-to-the minute accurate info during the wildfires in January. There's no video, no impact to my mind as to what's happening. Trying other outlets, to get the truth, but it's hard.
    • That's a bit murky since that happened during a writers' strike. Assuming Kristen Marie had a 2-year contract she left about when her contract would have expired and Sharlene and Josie showed up right before that. Lemay was officially credited as HW from September 1988 but it seems very probable that his anticipated tenure influenced events that happened during the strike which started in April.
    • I've seen so many posters over the years who are bright, creative, well-versed in soap history, and who care deeply about the integrity of the genre. I'd put the shows' chances in their hands a lot faster than I would allow any of the "usual suspects" to take control of the dramas they've already helped decimate. When I returned to university in the 1980s, I created a bible for a new soap and presented it in my screenwriting class. It was in reaction to how badly I saw the network shows being butchered at the time. The creative process was thrilling; a total joy, and I still smile when I remember the positive feedback I received from the professor and my fellow students. I was used to seeing written commentary from professors on my work. This one wrote me a long, complimentary note on the final page of the bible, but also graded it 97%, A+. I was beaming ear to ear for days!

    • Thanks. I do wonder if Rose was meant to be more given the caliber of actress they hired. I remembered Sara and Peggy staying longer as they were still on when Soapnet started their repeats. I wonder if that was part of the reason they brought Jake's brother in.
    • Speculation about Missy Reeves' potential evolution on basic civil rights doesn’t change my opinion of her. My view is shaped entirely by her public social media presence—which I find unpalatable—and I have no interest in learning more beyond that. I simply liked Jennifer’s hair and dress. That’s as far as my admiration goes.

    • Cheryl was gone before Lemay came back but I agree with your thinking that he would rather a character from a family he introduced to the show than a family he did not originate.  I remember reading somewhere in the early 90's probably after DS left as writer, their was an either a writer or a producer who made a comment that their intent was bring the McKinnon family back to AW.  Would have made sense for the newer viewers from the 80's.  Much like Lemay's attempt to bring the Frames back from his writing in the 70's in his 1988 return
    • DePriest left in January 1988. According to the AWHP, Rose last appeared nearly a year before in February 1987 while both Sara and Peggy appeared as late as October 1987.
    • Annie was not brought in as an antagonist for Reva. Reva wasn’t even on the canvas when Annie first appeared in late 1994.
    • The speculation……….very entertaining.
    • I had forgotten that several Days stars came out strong against Melissa. Good for them!
