She isn't about people of color sticking together.

How so?

Where in her comments did she say Darius was a bad actor or should be fired?

She only said the same things most fans have & continue to say about Darius while praising him as an actor.

VR can say what she wants, but at least Darius has got a real acting gig and isn't deperately working a reality show like VR.

A "real acting gig" that has him on the 1st & 15th fixing meals for white people.

Why did she even go there with the miscasting comment? It was unnecessary.

Because it's true.

She bitches about diversity and when it happens, she pokes it because it isn't a perfect situation.

There is imperfect & there is ridiculous.

Either be completely supportive of Darius or have nothing to say on the topic.

She WAS completely supportive of Darius but even if she wasn't why is what she said any less valid?

It's not like TPTB are or were going to use Malcolm as a Lane prop anyway.

And when you look at that list... It looks as if they can handle a white person (Eva LaRue being Puerto Rican, of course), but an African American seems to be a no-no. Awfully suspicious. Daytime is a sad tale diversity-wise.

B&B took back Hunter, AMC took back Eva, OLTL took back Robin, Y&R took back Eric Braeden Cady bounces between AMC & ATWT, GH would take Vanessa back in a heartbeat, Roscoe Born's been on every soap that ever was & the less said about Bernard/Burton the better.

Even actresses like Nancy Grahn & Hilary Smith have said/done worse.

And don't get me started on Stafford (or was it the Bavarian milkmaid?) spitting on her or whatever that was!!! :o And giving her clothes other actresses didn't want to wear.

The thing is Darius IS a solid actor but casting him as Malcolm was never going to work.

It's as bad as Shari as Ashley & Sarah as Victoria.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I agree with you. I think Y&R should suck it up and bring her back. She's hardly the first actor to have her "When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong" moments and I think that what she brings to the table far outweighs whatever drama comes with her.

LOVE Kristoff & Eileen but not Neil/Ashely.

Mainly cause a horrible pairing that only exists to give both characters something to do & will end when Ashley goes crazy again.

Or once Black History Month is over. We all know why Neil & Ashley was rush. So the black viewers can see somebody black on Black History Month. Well Neil you have a couple of more days left before Ashley dumps you for her White Knight. & you go back to being backburn in Backburn city.

VR realizes that at this point TPTB might also consider recasting the part of Dru. That's probably the reason she talked about the Malcom thing like that.

Recasting Dru would be a mistake wrapped in a trainwreck stuffed inside a clusterf*ck.

Just like they did with Malcolm. I want to see them try it.
